What does Jodi do?
Diffuse his hostility with a smile.
"Excuse me," called out the guard. He waved them over in his direction.
Not having much of a choice, Jodi and Melissa approached the guard who opened a led them through a door.
A few minutes later, Jodi sat in a small office with a one-way mirror. The metal chair did little to soothe the discomfort of a fifteen-hour flight. Adding to the tension was the fact that Melissa were put in separate rooms. But at least the room was air-conditioned.
The door opened slowly. A thin black man, also with a khaki uniform, entered sat across from Jodi.
"Good morning," said the man seated across from Jodi. "My name is Captain Igbo. Please let me have a look at your passport. Do you know why you are here?"
"Tourism," Jodi said as she handed him her passport.
Captain Igbo laughed. "No, I meant why you are in this office."
"I don't know," Jodi replied.
He pointed down at Jodi's red bag. "Suspicious package. Do you mind if we search?"
"No," Jodi said. "Go ahead."
With hardly an effort, the captain lifted up her suitcase, opened it, and began inspecting her items. He put the clothes aside and spent a little more time with her toiletries and underwear.
"Very good," he said. "Now please stand up and remove your clothes."
"WHAT???" Jodi snapped. "Why?"
Captain Igbo smiled. "This is our standard operating procedure."
Some pounding sounds erupted from the wall behind Jodi, as if an object was being thrust against it repeatedly. "Uhhhh....uhhhh," cried a female voice from the other side. Melissa's.
Does Jodi comply with the captain?
