Difficult request

Lizzie waited, biting her lip until her parents exited their tent.

"Lizzie, I want you to go around and ask the other campers if they saw anything at night." her mom said.

"What? Like this?!" Lizzie motioned to her state of dress.

"Oh right." her mom said, absentmindedly. She slipped back into the tent and came back with one of her dad's long t-shirts. She handed into Lizzie, who still wasn't satisfied.

"What is this? Can't you give me a pair of your own clothes?" she said.

"I can't find my suitcase right now Lizzie_ I think it might've been stolen too. Could you please do as I say? Your father and I are in a big hurry right now." her mom responded.

"Hurry? For what? Why can't you guys do it?" Lizzie shouted.

"We're going to the nearest town for stolen supplies we need right now and to notify the police." she snapped back. "Oh, and to buy your clothes. Which, I'll remind you, you neglected to bring_ so consider this a punishment for that." Lizzie considered asking to tag along, but remembering the events from last night, she didn't want to press the issue further. Plus, she'd be walking into town with practically nothing one if she went.

Lizzie decided to go for one more question. "And Michael?"

"Your brother will be busy taking inventory of what we have remaining and relaying that to us. This is urgent Lizzie. We can't have you lying around in the tent doing nothing just because you're too shy."

I could've done that job! Lizzie thought but chose not to say. She slipped on the shirt she was given which thankfully reached just below the curve of her butt.

Once her parents had driven out of sight, Lizzie surveyed the area for other campers she could ask. The closest tent was the one she showered in front of. There were a few more scattered around the campground who may or may not have seen her exhibit the previous night. Additionally, just beyond this clearing was a second one, hidden behind a patch of trees. Visiting there was her third option if she truly didn't want to be recognized by anybody.
