Diagnoses...

You wait in the emergency room along with Kathryn Lang. Tommy had to bring Jeremy home, and drop off Carissa at her house.

"So...what do you think it is?" Kathryn asks.

You shake your head. "I'm not a doc..."

You are cut off as Doe rushes into the emergency room, her face a picture of panic. "What happened? What?"

You get off the chair you are sitting on and rush over to Doe. You take her in your arms and explain the situation.

Doe takes the information in, then shakes her head, "I thought she had out grown it."

You look at her confused, "Out grown what?"

"Her breath-holding spells. It can cause seizures. She must have been scared enough at the situation that it came back." Doe said in a mechanical tone of voice. Suddenly she lifts her head and looks you deep in the eyes, "Was she scared afterward?"

"Yes. Very."

Doe nods, "The first time it happened she had just started speaking. Hank had been there, and got her to the hospital here. I was working. While we were waiting for the prognosis he had pulled me, literally pulled me to the side. He told me when she came out of the seizure she had asked for her daddy. When he had bent down he said she said, "You're not my daddy...I want my daddy." Did that happen again?" Doe asked softly.

You think back and shake your head, "No."

"Oh..."

"She just calmed down after I hugged her. She didn't say that." You say, your blood draining from your face. You continue staring at Doe.

"Oh...so...I don't know how she knew that Hank wasn't her father, John. She just knew. And so did I."

"Uh...this sounds like...heavy. Sh...should i go wait outside?" Kathryn asks from behind you.
