Deeper into the tunnels.

For the next few hours, you trudge throughout the tunnels without much occurrence. After a small rest, you begin to walk, only to realise that the passage is sloping down.

A few minutes later you emerge into a small cavern, lit by torches. Along the walls are red banners, emblazoned with a black symbol you don’t recognise.

The floor of the cave is covered in thick red fancy carpet, embroidered with gold.

“Creepy...” You whisper. As you inspect the room, your eyes are drawn to the centre: in the middle of the space lies a stone altar, carved with magic symbols. You walk over to it.

The altar itself is quite large, about the size of a bed, and inlaid with gold and silver. The corners are decorated with ornate spirals, carved from the rock itself. In the centre of the altar, you notice a small groove cut out of the rock, around the size of a pebble.
