Debrief

The rest of the pre-drinks went by reasonably typically. Games were played, lots of drinking was done. Abbey had rejoined the group in the Kitchen a little after I had. She had redone all her make-up and was wearing a black miniskirt that showed off her legs perfectly. She looked at me before she sat next to Chloe and grabbed a drink. Jake could tell that the mood between us was off slightly.

Jake: Hey man, what happened? with you guys?

Me: I think I blew it

Jake: What do you mean?

Me: I blew it, literally, like too early

Jake: Oh man, that's hilarious

I gave Jake a hard look at that one.

Jake: I mean, how terrible... still funny though, what happened to all this stamina I heard about?

I tried to maintain my hard look, but I couldn't hold it; something about the way Jake has eased my embarrassment and made me crack a smile.

Me: Well, you could say I had a case of major blue balls before even arriving today... also, how did you hear about that?

Jake: I have my sources... anyway, what's the plan then?

Me: I guess I see how it goes. I don't think I will be getting a second shot with Abby tonight. I need to get some drinks in me to kill this embarrassment.

Jake: Sounds like a plan

Jake continued to quiz and rib me about what happened throughout the pre-drinks. Finally, despite the initial awkwardness, Jake, the girls and I go into the full swing of pre-drinks, and Abbey seemed to have gotten over our 'incident', although and a hint of sexual tension that was there before had gone.

I hadn't gotten to know the other girls; I hadn't made an effort, if I am honest. Jake hadn't either but was still the subject of a lot of attention from Chloe and this other girl Stacey. They both were good looking for their part. Stacey was a typical looking Essex girl, hot and curvy, but wore way too much make-up for my tastes.

Jake: By the way, mate, you should thank me in a bit

Me: Why?

Jake: Oh, you will see soon. I am sure
