Day 37: The proof

Lindsey met with Ghost again.

"It wasn't easy but I got" said Ghost, "I had to infiltrate Keinname Junior High. Fortunately, as a former student, I knew the layout which they hadn't changed since then. I found that the bathroom where the incident happened took place had an obvious camera so it should have been recorded. However I found no such records and its not just because it was four years ago. They still kept all the old tapes except this one"

Ghost handed the tape to Lindsey.

"I had to infiltrate the Crane Arkham to get this. I also found some disturbed stuff. "

Lindsey played the tape. It showed Susan cutting herself in the Junior High bathroom when Marcie came in.

Marcie laughed.

"You're doing it wrong, you moron" she said, "I wanna slice against the wrists themselves so that you bleed out"

Lindsey gasped as she saw Susan actually bring the knife to her wrist. Even though she knew Susan was alive, it still scared her to see someone she saw as like a sister come so close to killing herself. Marcie looked at a note that fell out of Susan's pocket.

She picked it up.

"What is this?" she asked, "I hope its a suicide note"

Marcie took the knife off of Susan.

"I wanna this before you die"

She began to read the note.

"Oh my god, the grammar is revolting" she said, "but at least you're planning on killing yourself"

Marcie continued to read the note. Suddenly she fell to the floor, accidentally cutting herself with the knife.

"What the fuck?" said Lindsey.

"Apparently Marcie faints at the sight of bad grammar"

"So the entire thing was a freak accident brought on by Marcie's own stupid cruelty?"

Lindsey watched the next few tapes. They all showed a cell inside Crane Asylum there Susan was held shortly after the incident. The first tape showed a middle aged man with glasses, Dr. Crane administer electroconvulsive therapy to Susan.

"Dr. Crane, the girl hasn't given consent or received anaesthesia" said his assistant.

"I know" said Dr. Crane, "Mrs. Storm paid good money for this"

The next tape showed Susan being whipped by Marcie. Her mother and Dr. Crane were watching. Marcie had started to gain weight since the cutting.

"I think this therapy is really helping Marcie" said her mother, "its good stress relief"

"Say it, you piece of it!" said Marcie.

"I'm a psychotic monster who deserves to suffer" cried Susan, defeated.

"Yes, you are" said Marcie.

The third tape showed Susan's mom and sister administering the same tortures to Susan.

"Jesus Christ" said Lindsey.

"Apparently they bribed Dr. Crane into giving them a turn torturing her"

The final tape showed Dr. Crane interviewing Susan. The girl was completely broken.

"So what happened?" asked Dr. Crane.

"I cut Marcie" said Susan weakly.

"It seems my therapy has worked"

Lindsey was crying from all this.

"How could they do that?" she asked.

Lindsey picked up the first tape and decided to show it to Susan to relieve her guilt. She kept the other tapes as evidence against Susan, though she didn't want Susan to see them, fearing they might bring back some traumatic memories.
