Hajime laid in his bed. A killing game? Why? Why were they even here? Why can't anyone remember anything before the classroom? How did they get there?

So many questions went through his head, but whatever the reasoning was, they were in a very bad situation right now.

"Hiya, Hajime!" a voice said.

"Augh!" Hajime shouted, recoiling in suprise. "Oh... what do you want?"

"You hate this situation you're in, right? You don't want to die, right?"

"Of course!" Hajime shouted. "What's your goal, anyway?"

"My motivations aren't all that important," he said. "But, I'm here to make an offer. I will stop the killing game if you accept."

Hajime groaned and sat up. "What is it?"

"Hehe... it's a new game! One where you'll be able to control all the women on this island!"

"Uhh... what?"

"I'm going to have to ask you to accept or decline my offer before I explain any more."

"Seriously? Umm... you'll stop the game?"

"Yes. If you accept, come tomorrow morning, I will be wiped from the memories of everyone on the island! Well, except you of course. You'll still live out your tropical life!"

"I don't want that! How about we get to leave?"

"sorry, but that's not an option. End the Killing game and start my game, or continue with the killing game and risk **** of yourself and everyone else on the island! Three.... two... one..."

"Fine! I accept!" he shouted.

"Puhuhu... Wise choice. Besides, you'll find this new game a lot more fun. The instructions and rules will be given to you in your E-Handbook!"

Monokuma then vanished as Hajime felt his handbook buzz in his pocket.

Trigger Game Rules:

How to Play

• In your handbook is a chart with all eight girls on this island. All of the girls are now installed with a trigger, activated when you perform a certain action. A hint to what the trigger is and how to activate it is displayed underneath their profile, though it may be obscure. You're the only one who can activate the trigger, however.
• Each girl will receive a new trigger every three days. Please note all triggers are permanent and will never be removed.
• The specifics of the trigger will be given once the next rotation of triggers hits.
• If you hit the arrow on the top-right, you will flip to a chart displaying the seven other boys on this island. Below their profiles are meters ranging from 0% to 100%. These meters rank how suspicious of you they are.
• Seeing suspicious actions will increase the percentage displayed on the boy's meter. In the event a meter hits 100%, they will become so suspicious they will plan to kill you. The meter goes down over time, however, so their murderous rampage will end if you stall enough.
• tl;dr: The girls have been installed with triggers that you don't know about and only you can activate. Try to live without any of the men getting suspicious, or you lose.

Hajime noticed a "shop" button in the bottom-right. He clicked on it, curious as to what it could hold.

Using your triggers intentionally will award you Monocoins, depending on what you did and how you used them. These Monocoins will be added to your account during the nighttime announcement. You can use these coins for helpful things in the game, good food or luxuries, or even something random! (Please note all rewards have two-day cooldowns)

Below the explanation of Monocoins, there was a selection of purchasable items.

Game Support:

• Freeze time for 10 minutes: 10 Monocoins
• Erase all memories of past 30 Minutes: 30 Monocoins
• Erase all memories of past hour: 50 Monocoins
• Reduce Suspicion by 50: 60 Monocoins
• Reduce Suspicion by 100: 100 Monocoins
• Disable a trigger for 12 Hours: 100 Monocoins

Luxuries:

• Unlock/add to profile of a random girl: 20 Monocoins
• Quality bed: 30 Monocoins
• Soundproof Cottage: 30 Monocoins
• One-Way Windows: 50 Monocoins

More will be added to the shop as time progresses.

"this is stupid," Hajime said. "Oh well, I guess it's fine if there's no killing game. I just hope he wasn't lying." He turned over in his bed and went to sleep for the next morning.
