What's next?
Dance dance evolution!
The week seems to blur past you in the blink of an eye, the scant few days leading up to Prom melding seamlessly together like ice in a glass of spiked punch. You still hadn't settled on a be-all-end-all date for the night but that hardly mattered as far as you were concerned considering you more or less had the cream of the crop in partners at your fingertips. Regardless, it only seemed natural that you began the night with Emerald, perfectly fine with escorting the mocha beauty to the dance hall, and as such you waited patiently outside of the door to your dorm. For all you knew, she might even monopolize your attentions all night, and depending on the manner you might even let her.
The attire you had chosen was not only classy but appropriate; a slim fit suit jacket dark blue, almost black in color, silver tie with an embroidered design, and white button down shirt underneath with slacks matching the same hue as your jacket, and black dress shoes polished to an impeccable shine. Your hair was slicked back and combed in a suave, stylish manner with a single bang hanging somewhat loosely over your forehead, and sitting in your earlobes was a pair of silver stud earrings. That last detail was admittedly a spur-of-the-moment decision, but after modeling a few sets you ended up enjoying the accented look. All in all, it gave you the air of a bachelor on the prowl which suited your intentions perfectly fine.
"Does this look please you, Master?" comes a demure voice.

You feel a lump lodge itself in your throat as your eyes rake across your Little Gem clad in a silk, sage green, single-shoulder taffeta dress. Its design perfectly displayed the rich tones of her arms and legs, baring them in all of their glory. The silk of the dress itself also seemed to hang loosely on her frame, aside from the hanging sash pulled tightly at her waist. She stood tall and proud in gold high heel shoes, her dainty little toes pedicured and painted with a raspberry polish. Hanging above her left foot was a silver anklet with in-laid diamonds, and secured around her neck was a silver necklace displaying a generously sized, multi faceted emerald cut into the shape of a heart. The refracting light gave it a luscious, mesmerizing color. Her hair, though the style remained unchanged, shone beautifully implying a recent visit to the salon. As a finishing touch, she had also applied a light layer of makeup that simply enhanced her natural charm and beauty. She truly went above and beyond to please you, and you indeed were profoundly pleased.
"You are absolutely gorgeous," you answer breathlessly. "I am a truly lucky man tonight."
"I did want to dress to impress," she admits with a shy smile as she bashfully averts her eyes.
Stepping forward and placing a hand on her waist, you reach up to cup her chin and redirect her scarlet eyes into yours. Being this close, it becomes maddeningly clear how sweet and arousing her scent is, though whether this was a perfume, the shampoo of her hair, or simply her natural scent you could hardly tell, not when you had such an elegant young woman in your hands ready to be ravished. You can feel your pants constricting tightly in anticipation, but you hastily beat down your lust as best as possible. The night has just started after all.
"You've certainly impressed me," you say with a smile. "You're going to be turning heads all night."
Leaning forward, you place a soft kiss upon her ruby lips, abruptly cutting off her giggle at your compliments. So sweet, soft, and tender, and she was yours in body and soul. The old you would've committed **** for a night like this, but you were hardly the old you anymore. Regretfully, you break off the kiss before it can grow anymore heated, and as you step back you're **** to catch a lightheaded Emerald from tripping over herself with wistful eyes. She tries to hide her embarrassment over the slip up and almost succeeds; almost.
"Shall we be on our way, mi'lady?" you ask, extending your arm.
"We shall, mi'lord," she answers playfully, linking her arm with yours.
Needless to say, you certainly made activity stop in its tracks as the two of you regally glide down to the grand hall where the festivities were being held. God powers aside, you couldn't help the smile on your face as you strode confidently with your chin held high, escorting whom could easily be the best dressed girl of the night on your arm. The stares of jealousy coming from the numerous other male students and even a few females was richly empowering, and the ire of their chosen dates only added fuel to that fire. It was at that moment you realized that all eyes would be on you tonight, literally all of them, meaning stealing away any private time with any lovely lady would prove difficult. Masking your frown, you cast a simple notice-me-not charm over yourself and Emerald, a delicate spell that would prompt others to turn their attentions elsewhere a few moments after they had some time enjoying their eye candy. As it stood now, the reactions would remain an initial shock followed by a rapid loss of interest as people returned to their own business. Perfect.
By the time you arrive at the grand hall, you can tell quite easily the party is already in full swing with a crowded interior and loud music. Numerous students were dancing their little hearts out, all of them eternally thankful for this break from classes and missions, but as you cross the threshold with your date in tow, your attention is drawn to a voice at your side.
"Ah, Mr. Hazelton. How pleasant of you to join us."

You stiffen at the voice ever so slightly and turn, coming face to face with Professor Ozpin, Headmaster of Beacon. How did he manage to slip in so close without being noticed? Perhaps your little charm didn't have much effect on demi-gods if the most powerful man on Remnant was striking up a conversation with you? Or maybe you were too distracted by your Little Gem? Of course you couldn't expect your transgressions to go unnoticed forever. Expecting some prodding, you immediately go into damage control. Confident as you were in your own ability despite the stunting, you took God's warning to heart about this man who quite literally had several centuries of experience on you, and this confrontation happened far too soon for your liking.
"Professor, it is indeed a pleasure to make your acquaintance," you answer smoothly.
"I daresay the pleasure is all mine. And of course Emerald Sustrai. You are indeed looking lovely as ever this evening. I hope Mr. Hazelton has been a gracious host?"
You feel a surge of anxiety come from your Little Gem and you hastily act to quell that unease with a soothing spike of your aura. In turn, she takes the question in stride and thankfully, it appears Ozpin seems none the wiser.
"I'd say more than gracious, Professor," she says with confidence. "Michael has not only helped me with my studies but has also taken his personal time to train me in both my combat ability and Semblance. I couldn't ask for a better partner here at Beacon."
Ozpin gives a small smile of approval.
"I'm glad to hear it. I'd expect nothing but the best from our sole, solo student. It seems your transfer to our roster has proved quite fruitful for the both of you, but nevermind this old man's curiosity. Mr. Hazelton, I would like to speak with you in my office come Sunday morning regarding a new training curriculum I feel you would be most helpful with in assisting Professor Goodwitch. Is 9'oclock acceptable for you?"
"I have nothing planned that morning. I'll be there," you agree.
"Excellent. I'm looking forward to our talk. In the mean time, I bid the both of you good evening and do enjoy your weekend."
"You as well, Professor," you say out of courtesy.
You let out a small sigh of relief when Ozpin rounds the corner of the building and the light tapping of his cane fades away.
"What was that all about, Master?" Emerald asks uncertainly, clearly a bit shaken by the man's sudden appearance.
"Let's not worry about that right now, Little Gem," you answer with a confident smile. "Tonight is our night."
Eager to join the party, you hastily walk Emerald into the hall, noting curiously how Yang wasn't present to greet the both of you at reception as she was replaced by the pretty Librarian you met a few nights ago. As you recalled from the show, the actual host of the Dance, Coco Adel, was away on a field assignment with her team which prompted Yang and Weiss to step in and pick up the slack. Did that mean that Team CFVY would be present for the party after all? That would certainly open up new windows to explore. Eager to find out if this was true or not, you take Emerald by the hand and usher her inside and into the crowd.
The night has started! Where, or on whom, do you focus your efforts?
