Chapter 3 by sqrlmaster451 sqrlmaster451

Who will I choose?

Cute, blonde Jane

We stop for lunch and are told that we can go to any of the restaurants in the area. I see Jane talking to all of her friends and her leaving going toward the Panera and all of her friends heading toward a little sushi bar. Figuring that my best chance is with her eating alone, I decide to go talk to her.

"Hey Jane, you're not eating alone are you?" I ask.

"Well, yeah, it sure looks that way." She glances back at her friends all walking away. "But i just can't do uncooked fish. Eww."

"Well if you like i can try to keep you company", I say with my best dorky smile.

"Yeah I'd like that, just wipe that stupid smile off your face", she grins.

We order our soups and sandwiches and find a nice little spot to sit down at. In between bites of our meals we talk about how much we really like looking at old, decrepit walls. We also touch on our other interests outside of school. It seems that she is an avid soccer fan and is pleased to see that America is starting to take an interest in "the worlds sport."

"So what do you do to keep your mind sane?", she asks.

This is what I had been waiting for as it was the perfect launching ground for me into the subject of hypnotism.

"Well recently I've been getting into hypnotism and all that junk", I say.

"Really?!? Does that stuff work?", she asks enthusiastically.

"Yeah, to varying levels. It really depends on the person and how open they are to the idea. And how open their mind is in general."

And then there is a pause. She is staring at me but not really looking at me. I look at her and can just sense this want for more or something. I'm really not sure but I figure since I've come this far I might as well go for it.

"You wouldn't want to try it would you?" I ask kinda cautiously

"Well . . . It's interesting but . . . ", she drones.

"Look even if i do get you under, which I can't guarantee, you won't do anything that you wouldn't want to. In other words I can't **** you to do anything beyond your will." As I finish the last sentence, I give your my best professional look, hoping that it will convince her.

"Well . . . ok, i guess", she relents.

"Since you're the one doing this," I say, "you should be as comfortable as possible. And while the chairs at Panera are above the norm, I'm sure we could do better. So, I'll let you decide where to do this at."

Well where does she take you? Back to the bus? Or right there at Panera?
