Chapter 3
by Rie
Nana's brother will not visit in the night. How can Nana cope?
Cry and scream and shout all night
-- --
I hate being chained! Arrgghhh!
-- --
I heard my new maid/**** screaming all night, exasperated, I walked down to the dungeon and opened her door
"Ah! there you are. Unchain me now!" she cried
"Very well," keeping my cool manner, I reached to her and unchained her. I left the shackles on her.
"Now please kneel!" I told her.
"What! It's midnight for god's sake!" She cried
"Don't I get an off duty or what?"she continued
"It's midnight for god's sake!" I repeated.
"Hell, you are sooo noisy. Kneel. Or you go back to mom and dad, hopefully your friends leer at your failure..."
Quietly, she knelt down, for the thought of her friends laughing had clearly shaken her.
"Good maid, Nana. Now, if you cannot sleep, you could have called me and I would have some supper for you. You still have the can't-sleep-without-supper thingy don't you? Why don't you eat the things I have prepared?" I turn my back and poured a can of salmon into a bowl and dropped a little something into it. Then, put the bowl on the floor, in front of her. She bent forward to take the bowl but I disapproved.
"Now, Nana, you should eat while kneeling. You must not hold the bowl in your hands, you have to eat the way Nana in Peter Pan does..."
"What?! You are treating your sister as a dog?!"
"I have no sister in sight. Scanning for a girl named Penny. Not in any visionary distance. " I told her.
"And, Nana, for your information, ou are my 7th maid and it happens that nana in Japanese mean seven. It could mean that you are the seventh maid I have or the dog in Peter Pan. Your pick. Now, go back to your cell, and sleep!" Then, Nana slumped forward, snoring. I took her to her cell and refasten her chains. Good Night, Nana.
What will Nana face in the Morning?
