Cream checks on Cheddar.

Cream hummed a cheerful tune as she approached her house, her steps light and expectant at the thought of meeting Tails. Her eyes immediately caught the sight of Cheddar lounging by his dog house, his belly unusually distended and wiggling slightly. Concern flickered across her face for a moment, but it melted into a smile as she heard the contented, deep gurgles emanating from the great Dane. "Wow, Cheddar, you must have eaten something really big!" Cream exclaimed, her voice filled with a mix of amusement and mild concern. She hoped the dog had enjoyed his meal, whatever it had been. Kneeling beside him, she lovingly kissed the top of his head and nuzzled his neck, feeling the vibrations of his deep, satisfied grumbles under her cheek.

As Cheddar wagged his tail slowly, Cream’s hands roamed over his belly, feeling the struggling movements within. The muffled, indistinct noises that barely escaped his stomach puzzled her for a moment, but she dismissed them as the normal sounds of digestion. Perhaps he had chased down a wild animal or found an intruder trying to hide. "Good boy, protecting the house," she murmured affectionately, kissing his belly and rubbing it in a soothing circle.

Her attention was suddenly drawn to something unusual on the ground near Cheddar's dog house... a beautiful rose and a box of chocolates lay discarded and slightly trampled. Cream's cute bunny nose twitched as she bent down to pick them up, her expression shifting to one of curiosity and slight alarm. "What is this doing out here?" she wondered aloud. Holding the chocolates up, she gasped, "Dogs can't have chocolate! How did you get this, hmm?" Her tone was playful yet scolding. Noticing the rose, she plucked it up, admiring its beauty. "Oh, what a pretty flower," she cooed, her heart fluttering slightly as she considered where it might have come from. With one last affectionate pat for Cheddar, she stood and headed towards the front door, the gifts in her arms, completely unaware her boyfriend was being digested alive just inches from her.

Inside Cheddar's belly, Tails heard every word Cream spoke, the familiar, beloved sound of her voice twisting the knife of his grim fate deeper. He tried to scream, to call out to her, his voice **** and muffled by the flesh encasing him. But his cries were unintelligible, lost amidst the sounds of digestion that filled the dark, constrictive space around him. The process was merciless. The acidic juices continued to rise, now submerging him completely. Tails felt his fur dissolve, the skin beneath it searing in agony as the acid began to break down his flesh. The pain was excruciating, unbearable, yet there was no escape. His body weakened, his struggles lessened as the digestion took its toll, slowly transforming him from the fox he once was into nothing more than sustenance for Cheddar.

As his consciousness began to fade, his last thoughts were of Cream, sweet, innocent Cream, who would never know what truly happened to him. The heartache of this thought was nearly as painful as the physical torment he endured. He imagined her life moving on without him, always wondering why he had disappeared, never suspecting that he had been so close, yet irretrievably lost to her, swallowed by a fate as cruel as it was implausible.

The muffled noises of the world outside grew fainter, the sounds of Cream’s departing footsteps hauntingly distant as Tails succumbed to the inevitable, his existence fading into the dark, digesting depths of Cheddar’s belly.
