Convincing Bree

“Bree! Hi! I’ve been looking for you,” Mark said, taking a seat on the opposite side of the table from the two girls.

She looked utterly confused, “Looking for me? Have we ever actually spoken before?”

They hadn’t, to be fair, Mark hadn’t spoken much to many of Macca’s friends, mainly because he had been spending so much time into getting with Jess.

“Uhh yeah, well looking for you not for me but for Macca, he’s been searching for you all night,” Mark lied.

She rolled her eyes, “What does he want now? To snort coke off my tits?”

Bree was referring to his issues with **** that seemed to be almost out-of-control this summer. Mark’s fingers tapped on the table as he figured out how to reply to her, “Uhhh no, he just really likes you Bree, like he won’t admit it but he does so many crazy things just to get your attention, he doesn’t know how else to do it,” he said again, trying to get Macca to sound more sympathetic.

Bree had finished up the last couple of bites of her burger as Mark finished speaking. “Look, I don’t really know what’s going on here but if he had any proper interest in me, he would come speak to me like a normal person,” she said, standing up, her friend following her lead.

Mark got up too as they began to walk away, he couldn’t leave her like this. “That’s what he’s trying to do but he hasn’t been able to find you!”

Bree stopped in her tracks and turned around, “He’s had days to speak to me, instead he just gets blind drunk and stoned on whatever **** he can buy for cheap,” she told him but before she left again, she had one last thing to say, “For the record, I like someone a little more intellectual, someone who’s not going to fuck off after they get themselves off.”

Mark didn’t know how to respond, so he just stood there as she walked off. It was useless, this wasn’t going to work, he couldn’t get her to like Macca and after that, he didn’t really want to **** her into going with someone who’s IQ is probably less than the amount of girls he’s slept with.

Feeling deflated, he sat back down at the empty table and just thought. He didn’t know how long he was sitting there for but it had to be close to another hour.

He didn’t move until he saw two people from a distance, making their way to the food trucks. You couldn’t miss spotting Jess from anywhere, the brunette stunner was on her way to the trucks as Macca laughed alongside her.

If he couldn’t get her tactically, Mark was going to have to do this a different way.

Time to start taking what he wants.
