Conversation with Jim

The rest of your meeting with Jim Gavin is very productive and he's obviously pleased. When you discussions are finished, he rises and shakes your hand warmly.

"Fine work, John. You never disappoint me. I wish I'd had a son like you instead of that silly pair of daughters I have."

"Thank you sir, I appreciate your confidence."

"It's well deserved. You know, sometimes I wonder if my daughters are even mine. A pair of fools, both of them, and Meghan's mother the worst of the pair. Grew up thinking that being pretty and acting bubbly was enough to get through life. Obviously passed that on to her daughter. Vanessa's mother is just as bad but not as mean." He shakes your hand again. "I'm depending on you to set things right, John."

"I'll do my best Sir."

"Jim, for God's sake. We've known each other long enough for that." He pats your shoulder warmly, smiling and and letting himself out.
