Confront it.

Dago stood his ground and looked around for the voice. Vida looked panicked, like she would bolt if she saw the person looking for her. If this was what Dago assumed it was, Vida had all the right in the world to be scared. It was probably a greed demon, meaning it could see through her magic and be a general really bad day for her.

“What is it?” Dago asked, unable to locate the voice.

“It’s some weird woman that won’t stop following me. She came up to me in the store and tried to take all of my stuff. She flipped out when I said something and… I don’t know, changed!” she cried.

That confirmed that idea. This woman couldn’t be anything but a demon if she was shifting somehow. Dago knew enough about demons, but his specialty was with lust demons, because of the advantage they had over him.

“I have an idea,” Dago said, gripping Vida’s elbow, “But I need you to do something.”
