Confess your feelings

You look at her with a straight face.

Megan: "what's wrong."

You: "I need to tell you something."

Megan: "what is it? You can tell me anything."

You: "I believe what we have is special. In fact, I believe what we have is more than what you and Robert ever had. I think you agree with me or else you would not have me here."

She steps back and looks as though she is about ready to cry: "you're right, I'm just in too deep to change anything."

You: "you're never in too deep, Megan."
