Common Interests

The conversation drifted to the relationship between her husband and daughter, and the disconnect between them. She felt like it was threatening to drive away Belle in the long term and Perver, for her part, subtly encouraged her in this thinking.

Eventually Amber wondered aloud how she could bring James and Belle closer together.

"Well, what could help?" enquired Perver. The pink crystal glowed and shifted subtly, but Amber was oblivious.

"Well they could..." Amber paused and rephrased, "I just wish they shared some common interests, you know?"

"Ooooh," let out Perver in a moan before quickly making herself sound like she was merely agreeing, rather than experiencing a pleasure humands couldn't understand, "I see. And if they had common interests, if this wish came true...what would it do?"

Amber shrugged, nearly dislodging some of the smaller crystals placed on her body. The pink one though, seemed stuck to her chest. She couldn't see it with her eyes covered, but it seemed to be getting warmer...?

"I guess they could bond over it you know? Share a passion, rebuild their relationship...that kind of thing."

She shrugged again at the silence that greeted her, "I know it sounds lame but..."

"No no!" a grinning Perver interrupted her, "Not at all! So you wish your husband, James and daughter Belle could share some common interests, one they could bond over, share a passion for and rebuild a relationship around?"

She spoke so quickly she was almost breathless and Amber was a little taken aback at what sounded like excitement in the woman's voice.

"Er...yes, I-"
