Comfort? No...Awesomeness

Place the bags in the car and then head up to bed. I have pleasant dreams of Mel and I at her family's place, I find myself dreaming of actually trying to get her father's approval...and it's not just to bed Mel.

I pull up to the Mel's apartment building the next morning fifteen minutes before the proper time. Mel is already standing outside the building, two bags at her feet as she talks to a blond in scrubs.

I watch as Mel looks over at the car, then does a double of the Super Snake. I see her mouth "Holy shit!" and the blond in scrubs turns to look, her own jaw dropping at the shear beauty of the Shelby Super Snake. The blond starts walking over to my car as Mel gathers her things before making her own way to the car.

"Hi, I'm Cindy! And this is a great car! I love it...if you need company..."

"Back of Cindy! He's mine. I mean for the weekend." Mel says as she gets to her side.

"With a car like this? I wouldn't mind sharing! Especially with you." Cindy says to her room mate.

"I...uh...what?" Mel says, her face blushing.

I shake my head as I pop the trunk and get out of the car to help Mel with her bags.

Cindy is laughing at Mel's slight awkwardness. "Oh, Mel, lighten up a bit! I was only kidding...unless...you want..."

"No...no. I like guys. Thanks though!" Mel cuts her off, handing me the bigger bag.

"Okay, okay. Anyway, have fun at your family reunion." She looks me up and down, "Don't do anything I wouldn't do." She says then pulls her friend into a hug, "And that means do him sometime this weekend. I think you need it. I really do."

"Uh..." Mel sputters as she returns the hug.

"Love ya! And it was nice to meet you." She says, letting go of Mel and turning to me with her hand out.

"It's good to see Mel has friends outside of work." I say, taking the hand.

Cindy looks at Mel as Mel looks away slightly, "Yeah. About that..."

"Well! We have to hit the road! I'll see you Sunday night Cindy! You get some sleep." Mel says, cutting Cindy off and steering he off duty nurse towards the apartment.

Cindy chuckles as she goes back to the building and enters as I hold the passenger door for Melanie.

I wonder about the little by play, and what Cindy was about to say. I get back into the car and pull out wondering if I should ask.
