Chapter 18 by Deschain5585 Deschain5585

What's next?

Cleaning up

Laying entwined there contentedly in each others arms, the pair relaxed blissfully. Dagaz, still trying to be a gentleman, offered to let Ava freshen up in the un-suite bathroom before he did, gallantly saying that he was willing to go and make the long arduous journey back across his apartment to the main bathroom so she wouldn't have to. Not liking the idea of being the damsels in distress, she had other ideas however. Taking him by the hand she pulled him from the bed and led him behind her. Making her way towards to the shower, she pushed him in ahead of her and followed him inside, locking the door after her. Not that she was expecting to be disturbed, more she just liked the idea of having him locked in the room with her. Silly, she knew, but she did it anyway.

Reaching inside to turn the water on, she helped him shed his pants, fingers tugging them down towards his ankles, even as he wiggled his feet to step out of them. Satisfied that his nakedness now matched her own, she climbed inside the cubicle, not bothering to check the temperature before doing so. Beckoning him towards her with a crooked finger, she enticed him to join her inside.

Soap and water soon mixed, flowing over them both. Raining down from the huge square shaped shower head high above them, it swept away dirt, tension and boundaries alike. They explored their bodies as they washed, each others and their own. Fingers and eyes absorbed every little blemish, beauty mark and feature committing them to memory. As close as they had already been with each other, the sensation of having the others soapy hands gliding over their body, working it into their most intimate areas seemed even more of a sensual act.

Slowly turning away from him, Ava slid Dagaz's hands around her waist so he could wash her back. She still had a lot of tension in her neck from where she had lain on the floor before. Also some of it may have been from where — unaware to her — she had been fed upon. As she cracked her neck with a small pop, Dagaz, taking the hint, ran his hands from where they had been almost pretending to wash her hips, but where in reality playing with the adorable little dimple they'd discovered in the small of her back, up to her shoulders. Hands slippery with soap, he kneaded the tense muscles in her neck, working her tension away until it all but flowed out of her and down along with the water to the drain below. Under his skilled fingers, she all but melted into his touch. They danced across her shoulders and neck with the dexterity of a concert pianist, his fingertips momentarily caressing the still delicate spots where his fangs had punctured her neck the previous evening.

They pair of them stayed there for perhaps a little too long, just enjoying the simple feeling of their skin against the others, the cleansing heat of the water pounding down on them from above and washing away any lingering aches they had felt. But finally, they knew they had to leave the steam filled enclosure, as much as the idea of setting up a permanent residence may have appealed to them.

Leaving her to enjoy having the spacious shower to herself, Dagaz braved the coldness and went to fetch them towels. Wrapping his around his waist, he hung the spare on the hook on the wall. Shouting over the sound of rushing water, he let Ava know where he was going.

"Take as long as you like. I'm going to get dressed, but I'll leave your dress on the bed for you. I'll head down to the garage and get the car ready. Come meet me down there when your done in the shower. Just head out of the front door, elevator is opposite. Sub level 3, can't miss it."

A kiss appeared drawn in the mist on the glass, quickly followed by the sight of her tits pressed tightly against it. Chuckling to himself, he made his way to get dressed

Whilst Ava had **** but to once again wear the party dress she'd had on previously, now thankfully clean at least, Dagaz decided to opt for something a little less glamorous, but still stylish in an understated kind of way. A red shirt so dark it bordered on blackness (he decided to forgo the tie), simple black slacks, and a stylish pair of shoes competed the ensemble.

After refilling his cigarettes tin, checking he had everything he needed, and taking a quick drink of scotch, he phoned ahead to his favourite restaurant and booked them a table. The place was fully booked that night, and he had expected no less, but thankfully he knew the owner and called in a long overdue favour.

Reservation secured, he made his way down to the garage, leaving his guest alone for the first time. Usually he would have been apprehensive about not only the idea of having anyone there, let alone leaving them there without a chaperone, that the very idea would have been enough to dissuade him from it. He hoped the memory of what had happened between them, and the promise of what was to come, would dissuade Ava from being too nosey. Not that he had much to hide, and anything he did was securely hidden in places no one would think to look let alone be able to access without him, but it still wasn’t a situation he was accustomed to.

His line of work afforded him the funds to purchase a wide selection of expensive cars, but unfortunately not the time to enjoy driving them as often as he may have liked. When he was able to find the time to take one out, he like to get away from the city and out towards more open roads where he could really open the machines up and put his foot down. He didn't consider himself a speed junkie, just a connoisseur of the finer things life had to offer — automobiles, women, narcotics.

Tonight, he settled for what many considered a classic. Strolling over to his Dodge Viper, he ran his hands along its curves, appreciating the power contained within its relatively simple looking frame. Despite appearances, the car roared like the devil at a rock concert when his foot hit the floor, not that he'd be able to floor it tonight. Still, it was one of the least flashy cars in his collection, which was exactly why he'd selected it. As much as he usually enjoyed turning admiring and jealous heads when he drove, he wished to stay under the radar and avoid any unnecessary attention this evening. Plus he didn't feel like he had to impress Ava too much, despite this technically being their first official date. The girl was already enamoured with him, and he had to admit to himself, he was starting to feel the same way towards her a little. Maybe the bond cause by the exchange of blood had gone both ways a little. He'd certainly never developed feelings for anyone this quickly in his life. It wasn't love, he knew that, but certainly a very deep affection at the least.

Settling himself into the leather seats, he keyed the ignition. The engine sprung to life, filling the garage with its beautiful growling sound as he hit the gas and drove it up the winding concrete ramp leading to ground level. He felt apprehensive as he ascended the floors, this would the first time he had ventured outside since his Embrace, and he was a little unsure of what to expect. As the hood of the car crested the top of the ramp, his fears were allayed. He didn't burst in to flames, which was a relief.

It felt like any other night, cool now the sun was down, slightly damp on his skin too. He'd been so busy earlier his ears hadn't picked up the sound of rain falling outside. It would be Fall in a short while, the leaves on the trees were still clinging onto the green of their summer colours, but within weeks they would begin to turn, changing to the reds and golds that he so enjoyed. He'd always been an Autumn person, the overbearing heat of the summer had never been something he'd been a lover of. He much preferred the more gentle heat that followed in the closing months of the year, when the evenings were mild and he could enjoy a drive through the countryside as the leaves rained down from trees as he past them.

Pulling up outside the entrance to the apartment, he left the engine idling and waited for his date. Thankfully, not having to go through the rigmarole of selecting which outfit to wear had shaved off considerable time from how long he usually waited for a date to appear.

Somehow, Ava successes in looking even more stunning wearing the dress than she had previously. Striding across to where he'd parked, her long legs stretched by the heels on her feet seemed to go on for miles before vanishing beneath the hem of her dress. Her tits bounced gently as she walked, and Dagaz smiled as he opened the passenger door for her and offered her his hand to climb in. Not an easy feat in heels he assumed, but she managed valiantly.

"So, where are you taking me?" she asked inquisitively as he pulled the car away.

"No spoilers I'm afraid, you'll just have to wait and see."

Ava's lips adopted a mock pout, "Aww, not fair. Do I get a clue at least?"

"Sure." He flashed her a wicked grin, taking a dramatic pause leaving her hanging on his next words. He let the silence stretch out for a good thirty seconds before her added. "There's food there."

Luckily she saw the joke. "Funny. I know women say they like a man that make them laugh, but..." she rolled her eyes at him.

They drove in silence for the next few minutes, neither one quite knowing how to break the ice. They hadn't really done much in the way of small talk in the time they'd been together, despite how close they had become. Dagaz was the first to speak up.

"So you like me then?"

Ava bit her lip gently, a habit Dagaz was starting to notice she adopted when she was nervous. "You're OK I guess."

"I'd like to think I was a little more than OK earlier. It sounded like you thought I was." he teased.

"What... Oh.. You were, you were perfect. Well, not perfect, fantastic." She tripped over her words, trying to find the right one. "You know what I mean. I like you. Like, like like you. Shit. Did that make sense?" She went silent again, worried that she'd said to much, or not said enough, or said the completely the wrong thing. "I mean, you've been amazing. Not just looking after me, but everything, you know? And I'm just excited, and babbling, and. I'm going to shut up now."

He laughed, loud enough to echo around he car. At first, she thought he was going to mock her outburst, to make fun of her ramblings. "Relax." he told her kindly, trying to alleviate her concerns. His voice wasn't condescending, he simply tried to calm bet fears. "I like you too, OK." Unable to take his eyes off the road for long, even with his heightened reflexes, he still turned his head to look at her quickly. "So you can stop panicking now. We're almost at the restaurant."

She settled back in her seat and visibly relaxed. Her hand found his on the gear stick, and her fingers intertwined with his. Holding hands, she allowed herself to smile and simply enjoy the rest of the ride, looking forward to what was to come.
