Check your mail

You open the lock to your apartments mailbox (You keep the key in the potted plant in the corner). You sift through the mail. A public mandated leaflet warning about the infection, some junk mail, and an empty chocolate wrapper. There's also a scrap of paper that floats to the ground. You pick it up. Scribbled onto it is a set of numbers; '246-853'. What this means you're not entirely sure. You place it back in and you shut the mailbox.

When you turn around, you see... Nothing. Nothing has sneaked up on you. This was just a cheap tactic to fill up a word count.
