Check up on your prisoner

You went into the cargo hold. That was where her stasis pod had been stationed. There were no cracks in it, no malfunctions. She was perfectly preserved.

If you wanted, you could let here out. But would that really be such a smart thing? Nobody had informed you why she was imprisoned. Her files were so high level that even someone like you didn't have clearance.

For all you know, she could merely be a political prisoner. Either for governmental or religious reasons. Or maybe she was a scientist who was put on ice just because of how skilled she was and they wanted to keep her intellect for much longer then her body could naturally sustain her. If these was the cases, you wouldn't have anything to fear about her.

On the other hand, if she was a high profile criminal, or perhaps a highly trained soldier, she would be a very dangerous person.

Now you could argue that you were a formidable fighter yourself. After all, you did earn a nickname as 'shadow demon'. But even a demon could not be awake forever. You'd have to sleep some time, and you of all people would know that taking out a target is easiest when he was asleep.
