Charming Barbara through a mutual friend

After gently shutting the door behind me, I turned to see Kara holding the starry thong that Diana had left on the floor in our mad rush to the bedroom with a bemused smirk on her face.

"So did she show up dressed like that or did you have her change into it?" she asked me.

"She was wearing it under a trenchcoat when she got here," I said, getting a water bottle from the fridge, "I think she was so worked up from last night that she was **** to get me to fuck her."

"When is she not **** for you to fuck her?" Kara asked, slingshotting the thong across the room with her fingers into a ring she made on the floor with the Lasso, "Yes, got it first try!"

"Nice shot," I said as I sat down next to her on the couch, "So, what's this idea you want to run by me?"

Her eyes lit up with excitement, "Oh, right! So I was having brunch with Babs, and she started talking about Dick again, and that gave me a great idea."

I had been trying to take a drink while she talked, so I nearly choked on my water in shock at what she just said. Once I caught my breath I sputtered, "I'm sorry, she was talking about what?"

"Dick," she said calmly, "You know, that guy she's had a crush on for like, forever?"

I wiped my mouth sheepishly, "Oh. I thought you meant... nevermind."

"Oh, OH!" Kara said, before laughing, "Sorry, I forgot that I never told you his name. It didn't even cross my mind that you'd take it that way... though I'm sure it crossed Babs'. Anyway, what I'm trying to get at is that even though he's with another girl, the two of them are still real close friends. In fact, she probably trusts him more than anyone else in the world. So I was thinking that if we could convince him that you're a good guy, maybe he could vouch for you and convince her as well. Or at the very least get her to back off a little."

I thought about it for a moment, "Okay, that might help. But how do we do that?"

"I don't think it'd be that hard. Dick's a pretty chill guy. If you hung out with him, I'm sure the two of you would get along great."

"Really?"

She nodded, "Yeah, you guys have quite a bit in common! You both have no powers, are dating hot alien girls, like those swashbuckler movies..."

I blinked, "Wait, he's dating an alien?"

"Yep. Are you familiar with the Teen Titans?" she asked me.

"Vaguely," I said, "I used to really be into them when I was younger."

"Well he's dating their current leader, Starfire."

"Seriously? He's dating Starfire?" I exclaimed, "I always thought she had a thing for Nightwing."

"Oh she definitely has a thing for Nightwing," Kara said with a knowing smile.

"Then why would she be dating..." In that moment it clicked. "Oh."

"You're getting better at figuring identities out," she teased, "Soon you may not even need me to tell you which superhero Wally is."

"Hey, I'm already almost there," I told her, "I've narrowed it down to either the Atom, Red Arrow, the Flash, or Doctor Fate."

"Well one of those is right," Kara said with a smile, "Sure you don't want a hint?"

I shook my head, "I want to do it myself. Just tell me what you're thinking."

She chuckled, "Alright, alright. I thought it'd be fun if we went on a double date with him and Starfire. It'd be a pretty casual outing so you can get to know him, but just romantic enough that he could see what a good boyfriend you are to me. What do you think?"

"Not going to lie, the idea of meeting Nightwing and Starfire in person is pretty exciting," I admitted, "Alright, I'm game."

"Great!" she said with a grin, "I'll call him tonight and set it up. Trust me, they're going to love you by the end of it!"

"Hopefully not in the same way you do," I joked.

Kara gave me a peck on the lips, "Baby, no one loves you the way I do."
