You pick up the Pokéball with the fire-type Charmander inside.

"Haha dweeb! Mine's strong against yours!" Blue says, taking Squirtle.

"But mine's strong against your's Blue." Said Green.

"Now, you three. I'm giving you these Pokémon so that you can go on a journey for me. I want the three of you to fill in the Pokédex! The Pokédex is a high-tech device that automatically records data on Pokémon you encounter," Oak says, handing you each a Pokédex.

"Ha! You two won't be needed! I can do this all on my own! I'm gonna tell my sister to not give you a town map! Smell ya later Red!" Blue says, running off.
