Charge!

Wasting no time, you burst out of the undergrowth in which you were concealed. Victoria, wringing out her soaking hair and looking towards the lake, only notices you when the heavy thud of your footsteps hits the wooden slats of the pier. She turns around as you close the ten meters or so that separate you. She opens her mouth to scream...just as you run headlong into her, clamping your arms around her as you launch the two of you into the depths.

Victoria struggles desperately as you hit the surface and even more so as you go under. She claws at you, tries to bite you and foolishly screams; her lungs begin to fill with water. You swim back up immediately and she pants despairingly for breath, her gasps frantic and ragged. With one of your muscular arms you sling her over your shoulder and gradually, if with difficulty, breaststroke back to dry land.
