Chapter Fourteen: Redwater University

"Of course, I don't want anything to happen to me or worry you... You've already lost enough people..." Eddie admitted.
"I know and if I lost you too... I..." Elsa softly spoke.
"Elsa, I'll be fine," Eddie told her. "I promise."
"I know," Elsa said while shrugging her worries away. "So, how about we talk about something else? Like if this Alyssa girl you saved was cute or not?"
"Really?" Eddie said in disbelief.
"Really..." Elsa smiled.
DEMI:
"This is exactly what I needed," Demi commented as she and Kira drank at the bar in Rachel's that evening.
"You can say that again." Kira agreed as she looked around at the bar and its many patrons.
"So, is anyone catching your eye?" Demi asked her best friend.
"You know I'm not there yet." Kira reminded the blonde.
"Doesn't mean you can't have a little fun..." Demi reminded her. "Besides, isn't that the whole reason you and Brittanney broke up in the first place?"
"What about you?" Kira fired back at her. "I haven't seen you date anyone serious since Peter..."
"Maybe we both need to move on," Demi admitted.
"Well, this is a good place to start, I guess," Kira shrugged. "And I couldn't ask for a better wing-woman."
"You couldn't," Demi proudly spoke. "If only I could say the same..." Demi added, causing Kira to playfully slap Demi's shoulder. "I'm joking!" Demi responded as she pretended to rub her shoulder in pain causing both girls to burst out in laughter.
"Seriously though, you want to have some fun? There are some good looking guys at the pool table." Kira pointed out.
"Well then, I guess it's time to play hard to get," Demi said as she flashed them a flirtatious smile.
BELLA:
Bella sat in the driver's seat of her car staring at the patrons as they made their way in and out of the seedy The Poison Ivy club, its entrance highlighted by a bright neon green sign. Taking a deep breath and sighing, Bella made sure that she had her bag with her before looking back at the club.
"You're doing this for you," Bella muttered to herself. "For your future... You know you have ****... For your future..." Bella sighed before climbing out of the car and grabbing her bag.
Staring at the building and its patron once again, Bella locked her car and made her way over to the door where she was stopped by a beefy man who was clearly standing security for the club. "Hi, I'm Bella Castillo. I have a meeting with Tyrone Wilson." Bella told the security guard who stared at her suspiciously before checking his list and recognising the name was there and stood aside to let her in.
"Here we go, Bella..." Bella sighed to herself. "For our future."
PETER:
Peter woke up during that night in-between Sara and Adrianna and to the sound of his phone ringing. Not wanting to wake them up, Peter managed to climb out of the bed, grabbed his phone only to discover that he had missed the call but that the caller had left him a message letting the teen know that he was waiting outside.
Sighing in annoyance, especially since he didn't want to leave his sister and girlfriend that night, Peter gathered his clothes, got dressed before making his way downstairs and out of the front door where he found Nico, leaning up against his car.
"What are you doing here, Nico?" Peter questioned him. "Why'd you call me?"
"I've exhausted all my options and I've got nowhere else to turn," Nico admitted. "I need your help."
"My help? In case you haven't noticed, I'm not a part of that life any longer. I can't help you." Peter shook his head.
"Well you owe me for helping you out with Kai Russell and I wouldn't be here if I wasn't ****," Nico admitted.
"Just this once," Peter bargained and Nico nodded in agreement before asking. "Help with what?"
Nico stood quiet for a second as he took a deep breath before speaking out loud. "I need you to help me find Mara's kidnapper."
