Chapter 6: The Industrial Sector

"Samson? Samson, do you read?" Marie called out on her commlink, praying that someone would reply on the other side.

"Marie? Is that you?" called out Samson, his voice a welcome respite from everything going on. An instinctive smile burst through on Marie's face, and she quickly replied to the man.

"Yes! I'm here! God, its good to hear from you again." Marie had moved on from the makeshift hive now that the Communications Array had been fixed, her map showing a small elevator nearby. She would need to ride it down from this desk and make her way to the back-end of the ship, where most of the industrial sections rested.

"I thought you were a goner. It's good to hear you are still alive and fighting." Samson sounded just as happy, and his voice was providing Marie the juice she needed to move forward.

"I'm making my way to a nearby elevator to take me to the tram station. From there, I can ride it to meet up with you guys in the industrial section." Her sword pulsing brightly, Marie listened to the various chatter as she vigilantly watched the corners of the corridors. Samson was arguing with the two other shipmates they had arrived with, before he gruffly shouted them down.

"We will be here at the tram station and wait for you, Marie."

Thanking Samson, Marie took a deep breath as she moved through the vast corridors until she finally came to the small personal elevator. Punching in the destination, she waited patiently as the elevator hummed and flew her to the tram station. Her thoughts were on her fellow mates and the various crew of this massive ship; were any of them actually alive?

Thoughts on her sister made Marie squirm uncomfortably, knowing that the odds of Jane being uninfected were low...

She couldn't think like that though, and soon, the elevator was landing and ready to deposit her right into the tram station.
