Chapter 3: Battle of Mustafar

Obi-Wan and Anakin both entered the bridge, Captain Rex just finished talking to a Clone naval officer turned to his attention, and saluted them. "Generals, designs of the third faction resemble Sith warships from the past."

Rex then approached the holo table pressing a few buttons with one hand as he held his helmet in his other hand. The Separatist fleet appeared on the other side of Mustafar, their fleet of 5 Venators appeared next on the other side between them was the Sith fleet." It appears they have at least 7 Harrower-class dreadnoughts, and 14 Terminus-class destroyers."

Another Clone naval officer spoke up from their station, "Generals! Captain, the Sith fleet is hailing us and the CIS fleet."

"Put, them on soldier," Anakin said. He was worried this was not good. Obi-Wan was semi-still trying to process what was happening. He and his master fought Maul and Naboo but it seems for sure their ancient enemies were here before them but he didn't want to believe it. So many ships they had.

The Clone officer came over to the holo table pressing a few more buttons on the holo table. Count Dooku appeared, "Dooku," Anakin said his blood boiling. "Hello, Master Kenobi, and Skywalker."

Then an imposing figure appeared with a breathing mask and a hood hiding his face he stood with a hand stretched out **** another figure a female woman, then CRACK, "Darth Acina is dead, I command the Sith fleet, or at least this warship." The male figure spoke turning to face them and taking off his hood, "I am Darth Malgus identify yourselves!"

Dooku was the first to speak, "I am Darth Tyranus." Obi-Wan was shocked, "You are Darth Tyranus, Dooku. . ." Malgus scoffed and cut in, "I heard from Darth Momin about you, Chosen One, and you Dooku, you're an old fool you're not the true current Sith Lord claiming to be the Dark Lord of the Sith, I would rather meet them and see how strong they are."

The door opened of the Sith bridge, and Darth Imperius and Marr walked in, Malgus turned to face them Imperius walked forward now in the hologram, "I am sorry, Malgus is not the one who speaks for the Sith Empire."

"Darth Imperius, always here stand in my way, what would you have us do then, Jedi on our left, a weaker Sith part of a pitiful rule on our right? What would you do?"

She looked at the Jedi and at Dooku, "Be better, war should be the last option,"

Anakin was amazed at her answer, who was this Darth Imperius? Anakin thought Obi-Wan was the one to speak "You talk like a Jedi." Darth Imperius shook her head no at his comment, Malus spoke, "Broadcast this to the rest of our forces on the planet and to the rest of the fleet," Malgus ordered, the communication officers obeyed, "The Jedi Master is right you do talk like a Jedi at times," Malgus said.

He continued, speaking to the other Sith warriors and troopers on the bridge, planet, and all the ships, and to Marr, "Would your rather follow me or a Sith with Jedi ideas?!" Grumbling could be heard as people argued on the Harrow-class dreadnought bridge.

"I am still with the Sith Empire and I am for it lasting. I am not a Jedi. What I am saying, is it's bad to make enemies knowing and hearing what you were saying I thought you were about to put us into two wars. Division leads to our destruction ally with Dooku, and destroy the Jedi," Imperius answered. Malgus nodded in agreement, "End transmission." Then Malgus turned to face Imperius and Marr activating his crimson blade. "Fire on both fleets," He ordered.

Then the Sith fleet launched a volley of turbo laser fire and lasers at both the CIS fleet and the Republic fleet. The night space in this part of the galaxy lit up in a blaze of fire.

"They are charging turbo lasers!" A clone officer yelled, "Raise the shields!" Obi-wan yelled the the ancient Sith fleet fired at both Republic and CIS fleet.

"Return fire!" Dooku yelled. The CIS fleet let loose their own barrage of fire at both fleets. Soon it was chaos.

"Darth Malgus, I thought we were in agreement to ally with Darth Tyranus?" Imperius questioned.

"There will be no peace only war," A chilling voice said behind Marr and Imperius.

"I am Darth Nox, and this is our second chance to remake the empire greater than ever before." VROOM! A crimson blade activated. Recognition and horror on Imperious' face at the name drop. Swinging with inhuman speed that only a person with high **** sensitivity could achieve, Nox's blade swung at Imperious. She dodged backing away from Nox. Nox snarled and tried to follow but two Sith warriors stepped forward clearly allies with Imperius, they would fight Nox.

Suddenly the already tense bridge erupted into chaos as Sith soldiers and Sith warriors aligning themselves to Marr-Imperius fought against Malgus and his loyalists. Lightsabers activated and Sith slayed Sith, soon limbs were scattering the floor of the bridge and all over the ship blaster fire could be heard. Malgus quickly grabbed the communication officer who was hiding under his desk. "Contact all our forces! We must destroy Marr and Imperius and any supporters they have." Soon parts of the Sith fleet above the fiery world began to shoot at each other.

KA-BOOM! The first ship a Sith vessel exploded above Mustafar. Dooku ordered the Super Tactical Droid, "Get our forces in transports and board the nearest enemy vessels."

The Tactical Droid nodded, "Roger, roger, I would advice, Count Dooku for you to leave the field. Likely hood of a Separatist victory is low."

Dooku face was grim but he understood, "Try to reposition your fleet and pincer any enemy ships you can!" He had to get back to his master and tell him about the Sith Empire's return. He soon left the bridge making his way to his shuttle.

Nox faced two Sith warriors that unfortunately allied with Imperius and Marr, "There will be no mercy for you two." She said as she stared at Imperius behind them. Imperius had fear in her eyes backing away from her and the fight on the bridge. "You will be shown no mercy," One of the warriors said.

"Do you have any idea who I am? I am Darth Nox, I am a version of her!" She pointed with her saber towards Imperius they looked at her confused and that's all she needed them to momentarily drop their defense and she went for the kill with her blade.

One of them got their blade up in time to block Nox's strike the other tried to swing at her but she kicked their feet out from under them then pulled her blade back and met the first warrior's blade again before finding an easy way around their defense and cutting them down followed by the second fellow.

Imperius finally pulled her blade from her belt as Nox approached her, she activated her crimson blade, Nox scoffed, "You call yourself a Sith Good-side of me? You are not a Sith I am everything you should be!" Her blade came down and Imperius blocked it they stood there blades locked, "How?" Imperius whispered.

Marr faced off Malgus behind them. Other Sith warriors fought other Sith warriors. Nox answered, "Darth Momin brought me here. When he told me about another me from another timeline. I was intrigued and planned how I was going to kill you!" Nox pushed forward knocking Imperius back and onto the floor. "You are weak!" Nox yelled, "I will enjoy making you suffer as I have suffered!"

Imperius got up and called upon the ****. Nox chuckled calling upon the **** as well. Both breathed it into their hearts. One of them allowed the **** to invite them into the center of a universe while the other became the center of that universe of power they were generating, and one was faster using their gathered-up power. Nox **** pushed Imperius out of the bridge down the hall before Imperius could do her own **** attack.

Nox smiled behind her mask before turning her attention to Marr. Imperius tried to stand up but she was too late. Nox and Malgus had Marr cornered and it seemed the rest of the crew and Sith on the bridge were aligned with Malgus, they were now watching Malgus and Nox fight Marr. Before Imperius could **** speed her way to him Nox swung her blade and. . .Marr's head fell to the floor, his lightsaber clattered to the ground, and soon his body fell forward. Nox turned to look at her, Malgus, and the rest of enemies as well. She turned and ran down the hall with **** speed. "Yes," Nox said, "Run, coward."

Soon the Sith fleet approached both CIS and Republic ships all three intermingled in the space above the planet. Explosions and fighters blowing up.

"That Republic command vessel is getting closer to us. Give them a volley as we pass them and prepare our men I'll board that ship." Malgus ordered, and Nox came up to him. She bowed he motioned her to stop. "Speak, Darth Nox."

"I have several squads looking for Imperious, she won't escape us for long."

"Very, good make sure she dies," Malgus commanded. Nox bowed again but didn't leave. "Do you have something else to say?"

"Will you be joining the boarding party?" Nox asked. Malgus nodded. "I will be. The Jedi are on that ship."

"MOVE IT!" Clones shouted. The Venator shuttered they were trading fire with Malgus's command ship. "Enemy ship has released fighters and boarding crafts. Prepare!" Alarms were sounding everywhere. Jedi General Anakin and Obi-Wan entered the hangar with Rex and several dozen clones.

Taking positions behind crates and any cover they could find. Three Sith shuttles landed inside. Troopers kneeling, standing, and aiming. The doors of the shuttles open red lasers zipped out toward the Jedi and the Clones catching several of their troops in the head and chest. Anakin glanced to see Rex was still up and beside him he turned to focus on deflecting the laser fire back to the enemy.

Sith Troopers stormed out of the shuttles multiple of them falling dead on the ramp of their ship before even making it onto the Venator. Then red crimson blades activated several Sith Warriors ran forward deflecting blue laser fire as they charged the nearest clones.

A Sith Warrior approached Obi-Wan he quickly dispatched the combatant with a few parries and thrust into their chest. Silence. Anakin looked around the hanger seeing his men, his soldiers, dead, several lying wounded groaning. ****. Rex stood emotionless and serious but he could see the pain he was going through. SHHROOM! They all looked to see another Sith shuttle landing in the hangar. Anakin turned to Rex, "Get the wounded out of here."

"On it General!" Rex replied turning to the rest of his men that were up and ready. "You heard the Jedi get the wounded out of here!" The shuttle doors open and the ramp extended down. Darth Malgus came out.

"Generals, are you sure?" Rex asked.

Obi-Wan turned to him, "We have dealt with Sith before, don't worry about us, Captain."

"You will surely regret not having allies to help you against me," Malgus said as he approached the two. Now standing several feet away from them he looked at Obi-Wan and then at Anakin. "So, Chosen One do you think you can stop me from killing your master?" Malgus asked. This angered Anakin, "I don't know you but I not going to let you kill Obi-Wan."

Malgus laughed, "We will see," then he activated his lightsaber, and the fight began.

The elevator doors open 10 Sith Warriors stood in a long hallway, guarding the door to the bridge of the Harrow-class dreadnought. Five standing on one side and the other five on the other side, standing against the wall, remaining passive, and vigilant. All ten heads turned to look at the open elevator door confused. No one was there but yet it came up and opened. Warrior Perua, a Sith Pureblooded and closest to the elevator doors stepped forward to investigate. She gripped her lightsaber taking it off her belt. She could sense someone. They all could but the person wasn't there for some reason. She could sense something though whoever it was had little to no midi-chlorians/**** sensitivity it was just enough they could tell another person was somewhere near them. NEAR HER! She tried to activate her lightsaber but then- ZAAK! Perua had received a blaster shot to her head she fell back dead.

9 red blades turned on taking defensive stances. Suddenly red blaster fire appearing out of thin air caught two more of them off guard. The others deflected laser fire where they thought the unknown assailant was. But when they deflected the shots back it seemed to hit the door at the end, or the walls. ZAAK! CHOW! Laser fire Warrior Rizwosh deflected a laser shot back in the general direction of the attacker. PSST! He must have deflected the shot into their stealth belt and soon a hissing sound. Small sparks appeared out of thin air. Standing before them was a female Chiss, with red eyes, blue skin, and wearing an imperial uniform. "Traitor!" Rizwosh shouted. "Marr and Imperious were our leaders you all betrayed them when you sided with Malgus she retorted. Blaster rifle, and blaster pistol aimed at them. Rizwosh angered by her comment yelled at the top of his lungs and charged forward. He expected her to fire at him he was ready. He would deflect her shots back-

But she didn't fire at him.

CHOW! CHOW! She began to shoot the lights soon they were in complete darkness. Besides the light of their lightsabers. He swung where she last was but was met by darkness and thin air. THUD! He turned to look behind him seeing 5 red blades now. Panic was starting to grip him but he won't let it happen. ZAAK! With a brief flash of red light, emitted from her blaster rifle, she was behind one of the other warriors killing him instantly in the back of the head. Then darkness. Rizwosh tried to run back to rejoin his allies. But then- CHOW! CHOW! She was standing firing two shots killing another. The other three guards stood together back against the door to the bridge. VRROOM! Another red blade activated the Chiss female had it in her hands her pistol holstered and rifle on her back, she then thrust into the first one the other two both swung for her head but she ducked, he approached from behind, and was almost there. Then Chiss parried a strike from one. CHOW! Shot the other and sliced the last of his allies.

Rizwosh was alone. He stopped in his tracks. Maybe this was his time. He knew he was outmatched this agent or woman had killed all of his friends. "He deactivated his lightsaber accepting his end but he did have a question. "Who are you?" He asked in the darkness. Footsteps behind him! But he didn't turn around. VROOM! A red blade from behind came out of his chest. "UGH!" He let out a cry and then died. But before he slipped into the next life the Chiss female whispered in his ear.

"I am Cipher Nine."

I don't know what to do. Imperius contemplated. Marr is dead and he was killed by me basically. She couldn't believe it. She fell to her knees sobbing. "I feel. . .hatred." HATRED! NOX! Imperious wiped her tears away. Slowly got to her feet exiting the cleaning droid cabinet. Enter the hallway avoiding detection of Sith Warriors and troopers loyal to Malgus. Finally, enter the hanger seeing a shuttle but also-

"We meet again Darth Imperius," Nox stood between her and her escape. VRROOM! Both of them activated their lightsabers. Imperius fell into a Soresu defensive form while Nox took an Ataru stance. Both of them circled each other slowly. I will not give in to hate. Imperious thought.

Nox made sure to stand in her path. She could see that the light-side version of her took a defensive form. If that is true then she is thinking more like a Jedi. That makes this fight interesting, she thought. All I need to do is break her state of mind to cut and sever that connection to the "light side of the ****" she is right now drawing power from life around them and belief in hope and love, if I were to destroy her this is not the fight I will take. If I fight her now it might be a fifty-fifty on who would win I prefer one-hundred percent victory not half. I did hurt her connection to the light by killing Marr but I need to kill and hit her where it will hurt the most. No one else is here but us, not the right time. No one to kill to weaken her. I could try to talk and see if that would get to her but that is unlikely. If she tried to talk to me I know I wouldn't be convinced and I am her, just darker.

She took a step back deactivating her weapon. Imperius gave her a puzzled look. "I give you a chance Imperius leave now or die here."

Imperius glanced at the ship and then at Nox, she had a question before she left, "Why?"

"Because our duel will happen later." She turned on her foot and walked away.

Imperius ran for the shuttle. Getting on board she began to turn it on. It hummed to life. Her holoprojector blinked she picked it up activating it. An Imperial Agent, a female Chiss stood before her in the hologram. "Darth Imperius need a ship?" The Chiss asked.

While the battle raged above the fiery planet. Dooku's shuttle left the system. Something else was happening. Momin looked up above seeing the fireworks. "There are still so many I haven't returned. Ah, I know." Willing it, reaching out bending the **** to his will. It was like pulling it out of his pocket what he wanted and he found what he wanted. Suddenly seemly coming out of hyperspace came a massive metal object. Some would mistake it for a planet at first glance.

"Ships from the Clone Wars era, and Sith warcraft from the Old Republic." The Imperial Officer told his superior. "Grand Moff?" A dark-meaning voice asked. "You may fire when ready," Grand Moff Tarkin ordered. The **** Star charged its main weapon and fired.

MMMmmmm...as the **** Star Troopers pressed buttons and pulled levers. Cchhowww booogrrr! Green laser beams formed together creating a singular point and then the beam now made up of several beams shot forward blowing up a Venator, reducing the ship to nothing. Now with this new threat ships from all three factions were firing at the massive object.

Then an Imperial Officer came rushing into the bridge. "Droid gunships landing in the hangar."

The tactical droid ran many simulations. Before the giant planet-size space stations arrived, this battle might have been semi-winnable, especially with the Sith fleet still tearing each other to shreds and the Republic mainly shooting the Sith. But now with this new giant weapon that had vaporized a Republic venator. This battle was now a loss unless the station could be destroyed.

Several Vulture Droids went to fly across the **** Star as the turbo lasers shot at them and Imperial Tie Fighters were chasing them but most of the Imperial Tie Fighters were flying toward the Sith and Republic fleet. Adding to the mix of chaos and laser fire. As a distraction for the Vulture Droids scanning the station invading one of the hangar bays seemed like a good tactic.

Five HMP Predator dropships came into the hanger their laser cannons firing nailing the defending Stormtroopers and **** Star Troopers. Some of the Imperials managed to find cover behind crates that hadn't been moved or ships and vessels that hadn't taken off.

The dropships released their cargo. B2 super battle droids, dropped down onto the hangar ground immediately firing at the Imperials. Blaster bolts hitting the front of the B2s seemed to only get absorbed by their thick armor while B2s pushed forward killing and gunning down troops men and women.

One unfortunate Stormtrooper got half his face blasted off. Another lost a limb. Finally though the first of the B2s were shot down but by now the Imperials had lost one of the hangars. "Retreat!" An Imperial Officer ordered the Stormtroopers with him, they obeyed turning but they paused. "Don't." A voice said.

Coming down the hall came Darth Vader, VVrrrOOM! Crimson blade activated he stepped forward deflecting laser fire. The Stormtroopers and the Officer stayed behind him firing when they could as he deflected blaster fire back into the line of B2s.

Malgus clashed with both Jedi, parrying a thrust from Anakin, then blocking an attack from Obi-Wan, Anakin was behind him in an instant, and he pushed Obi-Wan back, spinning around just in time to catch Anakin's blade with his, "You are both weak, the Jedi of the Old Republic Era was stronger than you, the Hero of Tython, Satele Shan, and many more put up better fights."

Anakin pulled back and attacked again, Malgus blocked, and Obi-Wan was behind him, swinging for his head, he ducked and sidestepped to the side as Anakin tried again to swing for him. He laughed, "You can't beat me."

Obi-Wan and Anakin looked at each other stepping back. Together they used the **** and pushed forward sending Malgus flying back into a pile of crates he let out a cry, "ARGH!" Crashing into the crates with a thud.

Malgus got through the crates pushing them aside. The two Jedi stood before him. One was balanced while the other. . .the younger was. . ."You are in love," Malgus motioned towards Anakin.

"What?!" Anakin asked in disbelief, Obi-Wan glanced at Anakin and then turned his attention back to Malgus.

"Don't play dumb with me. I have been in your shoes. For I had a lover as well. I also, feel your anger towards the Jedi."

"I don't know what you are talking about!" Anakin retorted.

"Anakin don't let him get to you," Obi-Wan interjected.

"Padme? Her name is Padme. After I kill you both I will hunt her down."

"NO!" Anakin yelled. Diving forward going on the offensive. Malgus was ready to parry a thrust from Skywalker bringing down his saber in return. Obi-Wan pushed forward but by the time Obi-Wan had come to help, Malgus had Skywalker on the defensive. Striking to the left and then to the right of Anakin's defense making him back up. Their dance led them towards the hanger shield the blackness of space and starships shooting in the background.

Obi-Wan attempted to attack Malgus but he quickly spun around swiping away at Obi-Wan making him back up then he turned back to Anakin and continued his attacks. Malgus caught Anakin in a blade lock. "I sense much fear in you Anakin. You hate, you have anger, but you don't use them."

Obi-Wan came up behind raising his saber to strike Malgus in the back. But he had anticipated this. Pushing Anakin back, breaking their blade lock. Swinging back around stabbing the Jedi Master in the belly. "NO!!" Anakin yelled.

Malgus pulls his blade back. Obi-Wan falls to his knees. Anakin sees flashes of the stories from what Obi-Wan told him about how Qui-gon died, the Jedi Master that was. . more like a father to him. Malgus began, "The Jedi order controls you I can help you-"

Anakin breathed in the **** and he let it out towards Malgus pushing him away out through the hanger shield. Malgus quickly froze to **** in the vacuum of space. Anakin ran to Obi-Wan's side, "Obi-Wan?! Don't die on me!"

"Anakin, don't lose yourself. . ." Obi-Wan pleaded. "Don't lose-" His eyes were now vacant and his corpse lifeless.

The ship shook. Anakin's comlink turned green on his wrist. "Captain Rex?"

"General Skywalker the ship is going down. We need to evacuate now. I can't seem to reach General Kenobi is everything alright? Is the Sith defeated?"

"He. . .he didn't make it. There are still gunships in the hangar," Anakin reported looking around and spotting several, "Get troops over here."

"We going, planetside sir?"

"No, we need a ship."

"There seem to be three Sith dreadnaughts nearby, leaving the battle. May I suggest trying to board one of them?" Rex suggested.

"Good let's do that!" Anakin replied.

Star Wars | Warriors

The Republic gunships flew through space towards the closest of the three Sith dreadnaughts seemingly trying to leave the battlefield. "Approaching the ship T-minus 2 minutes." Clone pilot said into the comms.

Anakin, stood by Rex, Jesse, and several 501st Troops, they readied their weapons. "Go go, go!" The gunship door flew open. Red laser fire shot out towards them, Catching Clones in the head. Jesse and Rex found cover behind some crates. Anakin activated his lightsaber deflecting blaster bolts at the Sith troops across the hanger bay.

Suddenly the red laser bolts stopped only their blue lasers shot across. "Hold your fire!" Anakin ordered.

WHOOSH! The hanger bay doors open. The young woman he saw earlier on the hologram entered the room, she was flanked by a female Chiss and two Mark I Sith war droids. "Jedi, I am sorry we opened fire but allies are few and enemies are many in these times."

"You are Darth Imperius."

"I am Darth Imperius. Member of the Dark Council during the Sith Empire of old. I ask we join forces?"

"How can we trust you?" Anakin questioned until today he had only ever encountered one Sith before and that was Dooku. He couldn't just blindly accept what she was saying.

"I ordered my men to stop firing upon you, didn't I? But if you want more proof of my good faith and no lies, I can do this, Cipher Nine!" The female Chiss had her blaster drawn but stood at attention. "Surrender your weapon and-" Imperius glanced at the Sith troopers in the room. "We will surrender our weapons to you."

Darth Imperius walked forward towards Anakin who by now deactivated his lightsaber. He was surprised a Sith would do this. Standing face to face, he could see her features the freckles on her pale skin, her blonde hair tied in a ponytail, round head. She seemed harmless and almost innocent, she appeared to be his age. "If you don't trust me or my men with an alliance. Allow us to surrender we can stay in the brig. If you want to control this warship. She took her lightsaber off her belt holding it out for him to take. "Please accept this as my formal surrender Jedi-"

"Please, just call me Anakin."

"Anakin? Alright," Imperius nodded in acknowledgment.

"You can keep your lightsaber. Your soldiers can keep their weapons let us join forces."
