Chapter 22 by Galvan Galvan

What do you change?

Changing someone else

"Woah, where am I?" Nova asked.

Going into this weird dimension was always disorienting for me. I can't imagine how others feel the first time.

"Hello, I'm Devin, and this," I gesture to the weird sea of colors and shapes. "Is what happens when you swallow my cum. Don't worry, you won't be here for long." I think for a moment about what I want to change before realizing I should invest in my future. "You and me are such good friends that you let me hit it however I want for free whenever I want."

"You and me are such good friends that I let you hit it however you want for free whenever you want." She says in a droning voice. "Wait, no. We just met." Nova is pushing back, but I know it's inevitable.

"You and me are such good friends that you let me hit it however I want for free whenever I want," I say again.

"You're a customer who pays for my services," She spits back.

"You and me are such good friends that you let me hit it however I want for free whenever I want," I repeat.

"You and me are friends, so you come upstairs pay for my dances." She pushes against my message. This goes on for nearly a minute, Nova slightly changing her words as her walls break down. Eventually though, I get there.

"You and me are such good friends that you let me hit it however I want for free whenever I want," I say.

"Me and you are such good friends that J let you hit it however you want for free whenever you want." She repeats.

"You and me are such good friends that you let me hit it however I want for free whenever I want," I repeat.

"Me and you are such good friends that J let me hit it however you want for free whenever you want." She says.

After a few more repetitions, we snap back to reality. There is Nova wiping off a little bit of drool from her mouth. I quickly open my wallet and check. The forty dollars I spent at the other clubs is gone but I have the rest of my money back. I was terrified that that wouldn't work.

"Well," She says. "How was it?" She's positively beaming.

"It was good. Really good." I say reclining. Nova starts to get up from the kneeling position but I put a hand on her shoulder, pushing her back down. "No no no," I say. "Let's do another round."

"I hate you," Nova says as soon as we come back to the void.

"Yeah, I get that a lot," I say. "Tell me, how do you feel?"

"Odd. In one life I barely know you as anything but the guy who was creepy at the club but in the other you're like my best friend and I love fucking you. I hate it." She says.

"You don't have any other close friends?" I ask. She crosses her arms.

"Do you even understand what you did? There has to be a lot between us for me to let you just have sex with me whenever. This is a dedicated relationship now. I don't have anyone in my life nearly as close." She says.

"Woah," I say.

"Yeah," She responds. I didn't really think about the impact my changes had like that.

"Well, I guess I should ask your real name," I say.

"It's Roxanne." She says with a huff.

"Roxanne?" I giggle. "Really? A stripper who fucks for cash named Roxanne?"

"Technically I've never fucked for cash now. God, I wish you were a cop." Roxanne says.

"Okay, couple more questions," I say. "Does anyone else know about our... arrangement?"

"You mean me being your sex doll? My best friend Debby knows and disapproves, and I think the girls at the club suspect something, given I never come back with cash when you stop by, but your girlfriend doesn't know if that's what you're thinking. She does hate the fact that you hang out with a stripper though."

"Okay, good." I say. "How did we meet?"

"Blind date. It didn't go anywhere but we kept in touch and now we're inseparable." She says.

"Cool. Cool cool cool." I say.

"Can I have my life back now?" Roxanne asks.

"For now. Let me just make a change and I'll be on my way." I say. I pause and think for a moment. "Soo, what do you want?"

"What do you mean?" She asks.

"I can make a change whenever I need to now thanks to you. I'm in no rush. So, what do you want to change?"

"Can you make me rich?" She asks.

"No can do." I say. "Too many ripples. No telling what'll happen."

"Damnit. My coworker Danielle is an ass. Can you do something about her?"

"I don't think I can make changes that don't connect to you. It's about your history, not anyone else's." I say.

"Then what can you do?" She started to sound annoyed.

"I can modify your body," I say. "Longer hair, bigger breasts, etc."

"I like myself the way I am," Roxanne says.

"Well, there has to be something." I say.

"Ooo! I know! I always wanted to know how to code." She says.

"Really? Infinite potential to change your life, and you decide to take a skillshare class with it?" I ask.

"Yes. What about it? Oh, and try to minimize the amount of changes. I don't like not being me, you know?" She says.

"Yeah, yeah, I got it." I wave her off. "You take coding classes on the weekends, and you ace all of them."

"I take coding classes on the weekend, and I ace all of them," Roxanne repeats.

"You take coding classes on the weekends, and you ace all of them," I say.

"I take coding classes on the weekend, and I ace all of them," Roxanne repeats.

Soon, me and Roxanne are back at the strip club. I slap her on the ass and we go out separate ways. I keep my head down as I walk out. Once I'm out I walk some ways away from that side of town until I get to the local Burger King. There I call up Mia to pick me up. She arrives about fifteen minutes later. Enough time for me to devour a burger and a milkshake.

"Hey," She says as I open the door.

"Hey, " I say. "Here are the onion rings you wanted." I toss her the bag.

"Sweet." She takes a few out and starts eating. "So tell me about this girlfriend, Krys, and why I've never met her."

"What's there to know?" I say as I get in the car.

"Well, for one, what does she look like?" Mia asks.

"Uhhh," I pull out my phone and pull up the Instagram page from last night. I show it to Mia.

"You're joking, right?" She has an awkward grin and is stifling laughter.

"Nope," I say, taking a sip of my shake.

"Devin, you don't need to lie to me for sympathy," Mia says. "The famous model Kiki Ito isn't your girlfriend."
