Chance Meeting

As the ship exited the doors of Spacedock, blackness and light were all that could be seen. That is until they turned around the corner of the doors to be ship to ship with a spitting image of the USS Endeavor, the original ship.

"What in blazes is this?" the Captain gasped as she saw the old girl still floating about.

Phaser fire hit the new USS Endeavor and shook the ship but only ever so slightly. The original version definitely wasn't a match for this new ship, however, given enough time this one could eventually weaken it. This required some swift responses.

"Fire on that ship Tarsi. While I realize it looks familiar, it simply cannot be that vessel."

Tarsi targeted the ship's weapons and nacelles, and added a few barrages of phaser fire to the sides. Direct hits impacted the vessel and sent it reeling ever so slightly.

"Helm, lay in an intercept course to the old starship. I want to know who's calling the shots here." She turned and looked at the Operations officer, "Use repulsor tractor beams to push that ship away from Spacedock. We'll begin communications after we've safely moved it out of range."

The new Endeavor pushed the old Endeavor out of range and hailed the flailing vessel. "Starfleet vessel, this is Captain Pierce of the USS Endeavor. Your engines and weapons are down. Let's meet and work out our differences. I'm afraid you have us at a disadvantage."

As the Captain finished, the viewscreen popped on and several bridge officer's gasped at the face looking back at them. Captain Pierce's face looked pale as she glanced at the face and stood to get a better look. It was like she was looking into an old mirror. The face looking back at her began to speak.

"Hardly a disadvantage, but meeting in person would be preferable Captain. I'm Captain Stephen Alan Pierce, and I believe you have something that belongs to me..."
