Ch 1

“Phew!” Lyle exclaimed, wiping the sweat off his forehead after filling the last eclairs. It had been a hectic weekend but as his family was out for the weekend he wanted to surprise them. He spent his entire weekend making sweets and baking goods that his family liked. From chocolate filled croissants to a red velvet cake filled with perfect airy buttercream to eclairs and even puddings for them to try. It was the start of his last week of his summer break but tomorrow it was his birthday.

He didn’t celebrate his birthday every year and his family didn’t even properly remember when it is, but he thought he might do something different this year. He wanted to spend at least one birthday with his family because it was his last year of highschool and next year he will be out for college.

As he was focused on bringing a pudding to his room he didn’t hear his family opening the door and entering. Dazed and focused on the pudding as he was about to take a turn he bumps with the trio. The pudding launches up releasing from his hand and it falls on the trio.

As soon as the pudding falls on them there is complete silence. Startled at what happened Lyle quickly gets up. “I-I I’m sorry!” Lyle exclaimed, as he looked distraught. As he was about to help the trio they went ballistic on him. He was berated left and right and he kept his head down. “That’s why nobody loves you!” Sandra says with disgust.

When Lyle hears Sandra say those words his face lost all emotion. “Ah!” said Lyle quietly with no emotion as he ran to his room. He slammed his door shut and lays down on his bed with a single tear.
