Certain consequnces

So the initial introduction of the app led to certain sexy times in public. The animal change was basically a death sentence. Even more so, because the app had an age manipulator and basically gave most everyone biologic immortality. Concerns of overpopulation not coming into light yet, and everyone was having fun figuring out how the app would make things better.

Turns out the social contract, and knowledge of the app's limitations kept most people from going around blowing up everyone's breasts or something. On occasion there'd be some crazy nut who would do something, but we already had those same crazy nuts going on school shootings.

The biggest problems came in with identification and age issues. I mean since your whole body was alterable identification via a static picture was basically impossible. Interestingly enough the only time someone's DNA was altered was with the gender transformation, and at that point one person only had 2 sets of DNA which made proof a bit easier... although for regular identification it ended up being a mix of passwords and questions with an identification profile. Age and age based regulations were kind of brought into question. What is the point of a law against alcohol till a certain age when a big part of it is your body needing to be physically mature enough. Some people said you needed to be mentally mature enough... but most people didn't even entertain the idea that mental maturity was really an issue. Most people said "You just need to use your ID to prove your mentally mature enough." although there had been talks about maturity tests. After all while older people are generally more wise and mature... There are a lot of people who are older and are less mature than some children.

Onto other things. Sports turned more into video games but in real life. Not in power ups or whatever, but since you could have any body type and buff yourself out with as much height and muscle as you want... People were able to min-max for certain roles. Each body type was essentially it's own character and you just needed to know how to use that body just like you'd learn a character in a video game. No need for performance enhancing drugs when you have as much muscle as you want. Skill and knowledge was still needed, but now you no longer needed to train your body (in terms of being fit) making sports even more accessible.

Sexism... was still a thing, but a lot less of a thing as most people at least dabbled in trying the other gender at least once. Also less of "women are the weaker gender due to lower muscle mass" and stuff considering the app basically makes their muscle mass the same... if desired, but people who wanted to be masculine tended to just be male and everyone who stayed female tended to try to be more feminine.

Also there was a lot less cheating going on. Except for the time when people just didn't like each other when sex partners can just edit each other finding a more sexy partner... was more or less impossible, and everything mostly came down to personality.

The death penalty wasn't really used much. They were mostly just turned into animals.

John was very tempted to take the app away, but decided not to. While everyone was trying to figure out who made the app... Well it brought up an interesting topic in the debates on god.
