Cassidy had her back to him in the line. It was like she wanted to leave him hanging but was also begging for him to continue chasing after her.

“So let me get this straight, I tried multiple times to get attention from you last year after Matt dumped me. Then you get a girlfriend and when she dumps you, you come running to me in less than a week. Is that all correct?” she asked him, turning to face him again.

“Bite me,” she said, smirking before leaving him again, this time, heading for the exits.

Maybe he had to chase her a bit more but it was worth the time and effort.
