Cassandra Powell - New Personality

Cassandra Powell was you average 25 year old woman. She has just finished her bachelors degree in accounting. After finishing her schooling, she had decided to move to Minneapolis. The move has been very eventful thanks to the moving company mixing up some of her stuff with someone else’s. She had spent months trying to sort out where her belongings where and who’s stuff was mixed in with hers. The moving company wasn’t able to figure out who’s stuff was mixed in with hers. Thanks to this she got to keep all the useless crap HE had owned. She knew it was a males stuff thanks to all the clothes that had found it’s way to her.

One Friday afternoon she opened another box that had not been hers till now and started going through it. She discovered what she at first thought was a phone at first but then discovered the head phones with it. “Huh… must be some kind of MP3 player…” Cassandra put the head set on and flicked the power on. She tapped the ‘create’ button and was faced with list of traits and sliders. She scrolled through the menu and was confused. “I don’t think this is an MP3 player…”

The young woman tapped on several ‘traits’ adding them to the active list. “This is almost like building a personality profile of some kind. She selected the random button which seemed to auto select a bunch of traits. The next screen showed a bunch of sliders. She pushed the shyness slider all the way down and did the same for empathy. The following screen was labeled libido. This screen had one slider named the same which was already set to near max. Below that was a drop box labeled ‘attracted to:’. She click on it had it had three options. Males, females, both. She swiped up to see if she could exit the menu and it populated ‘both’.

This process went on for nearly 30 minutes as she selected random options and kept spamming the next button trying to get to the end of the menu. Finally she got to an option that said ‘save and upload’. She tapped the button. A new message populated asking ‘do you wish to reformat before proceeding?’ Knowing that reformatting on computers means delete everything she tapped no.

The headset that she wore hummed to life. Cassandra felt light headed for a second and yanked the headset off. “What the fuck was that…”
