Caroline the fighter

A tall blond woman strode through the door. Judging by her appearance, Janno guessed that she was another fighter like he was. She was wearing some chain mail and she had a sword in a scabbard that was hanging from her belt. The woman was six foot tall and Janno would have felt somewhat intimidated if he wasn't 6-3 himself. He could tell that she had some muscles on her and appeared to be the rugged type.

"My name is Caroline," she said formally. "I'm inquiring about joining an adventuring party here? I'm not sure if I have the right place."

"You do have the right place," Janno said quickly. "It's just that I'm looking for many members. So far, you're the first to have answered."

"I see," Caroline said. Janno could tell that she was husky and quite intense. "All the same, I'm looking for a group myself. Its better to travel with numbers and have someone guard your back while you are fighting goblins and orcs."

Janno nodded and then asked for a quick demonstration in swordsmanship. Caroline quickly pulled out her sword and twirled it around, using both hands (she's ambidextrous). The sword flashed through the air and Janno was impressed thinking that she was quite good. Then again, he had never adventured with a woman before and he was a little nervous about this. But Caroline looked like someone who had other things on her mind than male-female relationships.

"I'd be happy if you join me in the group. Of course we have to look for other members, so hopefully some will come soon."

Caroline gazed steadily at him. "Thank you. I accept the offer...as long as you realize that we have strictly a professional bond between us."
She definitely was all business. Janno nodded and Caroline bade him good day and told him that she had a room further down the hall at the inn.

After she left, Janno decided go down to the yard and work on some sword drills. He turned and opened the door and found someone waiting for him right there.
