Captain Exo Flare

You signed on to the Nova's Edge under Captain Exo Flare(They/Them). It was a large freighter ship that could easily hold a crew of over a thousand and still carry two or three supermalls worth of cargo.

Exo was a Human Captain who said they were a simple cargo transporter. It didn't take long to realize that, to the Captain, cargo laws didn't seem to matter. And while they weren't the worst person to work for, you quickly learned that when the Captain asked you if you wanted to do something, that you didn't actually have a say in the matter.

You were assigned a position working cargo bay section three. It sucked to still be working a warehouse job, but at least you got to visit new places from time to time. And it sure beat being stuck on your old station. After a year you were even given a room of your own. All in all, it wasn't a bad gig.

:Present Day:

You wake to the sound of Captain Exo’s voice as it hums over the ship’s intercoms. “Attention freeloaders! We are approaching our destination, I expect you all to be ready before we arrive. You have half a decacycle.”

With a sigh you blink the sleep out of your eyes then command the computer to reinitialize gravity in your room. Slowly you touch back down to the ground. Stretching, you sit on the edge of your bed and mumble to yourself. “Come on Nexus, it’s time to get up.”

Standing, you cross to your closet and look at the “diverse” selection of clothing available to you. Several form-fitted EDGEsuits hang there neatly, each one identical to the one beside it. Black with teal accents. Almost a rubbery look to them, somehow metallic at the same time. The suits were perfectly practical, and that was pretty mush all you could really say about them. Pulling one on you zip up the front and feel as the suit seals to your skin, a perfect fit, as always.

Stepping out into the hall you head to your station in the cargo bay. As you walk down the halls of Nova's Edge you try to recall where exactly the ship was supposed to be going anyways…
