Calvo heads for the mountains

Almost as soon as the earthquake started, it was over. Calvo saw the other guard head for the crevasse that had swallowed up her companion. Calvo wasn't cold-hearted enough that he wanted his pursuer dead, but he wasn't going to pass up this opportunity to put some distance between him and the prison while he wasn't being pursued.

There was a very rough trail heading up the mountain, undoubtedly used by the native fauna. Outside of a few small rodents, Calvo hadn't seen much in the way of wildlife, and hoped that wouldn't change. About a quarter way up the mountain, Calvo spotted a cave. Calvo paused for a second, catching his breath, while deciding what to do.
