Calm before the Storm

Amber stood up and looked around at the zombies. Standing still they looked no different from normal people. Save for the foaming mouths and red eyes, all of which were still fixated on her. Bugging her a little, but not threatening.

She wondered if the others had made it. Maybe they had escaped, more successful than her, to one of the various hideouts that they picked out. Amber knew where they'd likely be if they survived, and would check there first.

Just as Amber was about to pick up her bag and leave, something began to happen with the zombies. Slowly but surely they became more and more aggressive, beginning to twitch, then shake with increasing ****.

'No! Please don't, not yet.' Begged Amber. But before long the zombies had begun again to try and break through the fence, with the same veraciousness as before.

The weakened fence couldn't hold them back any longer. The fence collapsed, with a loud crash as it hit the ground. Several of the zombies went with it, but more rushed over them towards her. **** to finally get their prey.

Terrified, Amber saw her life flash before her eyes. Paralysed with fear she couldn't do anything to try and fight or get away.

Before long they had reached her, and dozens of hands grabbed at her, she was powerless to resist them.
