Call your guards to you
You aren't a very bright person. Your guards were just killed outside your door. Your shouts for help only serve to alarm the assassin who bursts in and quickly dispatches you with a kunai to the throat.
The succession is completely destroyed now and the empire plunges into another warring states period which your ancestors had once overcome. Your house is remembered as one of the great dynasties, but you are simply a footnote in pages of history as a victim of intrigue.
