Call out her name.

"Melody." You say out loud, your voice weak and starting to crack. You've never felt so nervous before. You're taking a big risk and this could either be the moment you've been waiting years for, or the biggest disaster to your friendship you can imagine.

Upon hearing your voice, Melody almost jumps into the air. She quickly pulls her hand out of her panties and grabs her covers, pulling them up to her neck. Her breathing is wild and uneven; you can't see her face that well, but you can almost tell she's blushing. "Jack!" She gasps, out of breath. "What...have you been watching me?"

"No, I just noticed." You say. "What were you doing?" You know full well what she was doing and you have a good idea what she was thinking about too...but you want to hear it from her.

"I...I had an itch!" She says quickly, then winces at how fake her excuse sounded. After a few seconds, she turns toward the wall in embarrassment. "Okay, okay. I was playing with myself." She was silent for a few moments longer. "Sorry. I know our roommate agreement states we don't do it in plain view of each other, but I just couldn't help myself. I was all riled up preparing for a night with Keith; I was wearing sexy underwear and everything. Then I come back and we watch a prono...I just couldn't take it."

"It's okay." You say.

"No, it's not." She shakes her head. "I've made you uncomfortable and embarrassed myself." She sighs. Her voice is trembling. "I can't even look you in the eye right now."

"Oh, come on." You say. "It's not like I don't know you do it. Sometimes you even plainly tell me you're going into the bathroom to do it."

"I know, but you actually saw me this time. I feel...I dunno...**** or something. it really wasn't something you were supposed to see."

It wasn't what I saw, it was what I heard, you think to yourself.
