Call Mariana Brown

The phone rings twice before you hear a woman's voice on the other end. "Mariana Brown speaking, how can I help you."

You introduce yourself, then take a few moments to try to phrase your problem.

"W-well, I'm a bit worried about my wife, Jennifer. She's been acting a little odd recently, and I can't help but think it might be an affair."

You hear Mariana make a pensive noise through the phone, and she asks in a slightly bored sounding voice. "Acting a little odd? What specifically makes you believe Jennifer may be cheating?"

You describe the texts you found, and explain you're concerned that "Rachael" may be a pseudonym. On top of that, you mention the oddly cheerful mood Jennifer has been in ever since she's started hanging out with "her".

Strangely, you can hear the faintest hint of excitement in her voice as she asks, "so you think she might be seeing a man on the side? Someone skilled enough to leave her walking around with her head in the clouds the next day?"

You blink at the way she phrases it, but mutter an affirmative answer. Mariana's voice surges with enthusiasm as she informs you, "I'll take the case! Just come into my office and bring me any information you think could be helpful."

You ask hesitantly about the price, but the investigator brushes away your question, still sounding very full of energy. "I'll handle it free of charge of course. This kind of case is why I switched to private investigations after all."

Somewhat baffled, you can only presume she has a particular interest in catching cheaters, and thanking your luck, you prepare to travel to Mariana Brown's office, which is only a few minutes away by car.
