Chapter 2

How does Amber plan on leaving?

By stomping right out the front door.

Amber walked straight to the door to her room, planning to just walk right out of her house with all the confidence in the world.

“Old bitch is probably half asleep anyway.” Amber said, marching down the hall and heading down the stairs to the first floor.

She’d made it about halfway between the stairs and the front door when she heard a quiet *ahem*. Slowly turning her head, she saw her mom seated on the couch, arms crossed, one eyebrow cocked as if questioning how much Amber thought this through.

“And where do you think you’re going?” Ms. Sullivan asked.

“I’m… uh…” Amber stuttered, her confidence having gone from sky high to rock bottom. “Mow the lawn?” Amber said, a nervous giggle in her voice.

About an hour later, Amber stood facing a corner in the living room, her ass bare and very much red.

“I’m sorry mommy.” Amber said feeling utterly defeated. She sniffled a little bit.

“Of all your attempts to sneak out in the past, this has to have been the laziest.” Ms. Sullivan said as she pinched the bridge of her nose. She turned to head back up to her own room. As she walked, she mumbled to herself. “It’s 7 P.M., why would I be asleep? How old does she think I am?”

Game over! Amber didn’t even make it out the front door.

Game Over!
