Buffy and a Belmont

Buffy Summers had the day off of school. Things had been quiet lately and she was actually quite bored. So when the phone rang she ran as quickly as she could and practically yelled hello.

“Buffy, you have to come over to Giles’s quick!” The voice of Willow said.

Buffy brightened, “What is it? Vampires? Mummies? Demons! Please let it be demons! It’s been so long since I…”

Willow interrupted her, “Buffy, it’s a guy.”

“An evil guy?”

“No, a cute one.”

Buffy hung up the phone and got to Giles house as quick as she could. She burst in through the front door and saw both Giles and Willow snap their head to the door at the sudden intrusion.

Buffy blushed a little and fixed her hair, “Umm, hi Giles. Willow. I just stopped by to uh, say hi. Hi!” She waved at the pair. She made a ‘well?’ gesture to Willow, who pointed with her eyes to the kitchen.

Giles looked at Willow. Her eyes skirted sideways to avoid his glance. “Ah, yes hello indeed.” He said to Buffy. “I was just telling Willow that I have a houseguest.”

Buffy raised her eyebrows, “Really? Is he here now?”

Giles took off his glasses and rubbed the bridge of his nose. “Yes, as a matter of fact…”

There was a stirring in the kitchen and Giles said, “Here he is. Buffy, I would like to introduce you to Viggo Belmont.”

A tall well built figure bowed before the two young women. He had long dark hair down to his broad shoulders. Ice blue eyes stared forth from a flawless face. As he walked, his muscles seemed to flow and flex like a rippling stream.

He smiled and said, “So this is the Slayer. It is an honor to met you my lady.”

Buffy and Willow looked at each, then at Giles, and finally back to Viggo. Buffy said, “So you know that I’m the Slayer?”

He replied, “Of course, all the Hunter clans must know who is the current Slayer.”

“Hunter clans?” Willow looked questioningly at Giles.

Giles explained. “Viggo is a member of a family that has hunted vampires for generations.”

“So you’re like me then?”

“Unfortunately I am not. The Hunter clans don’t have the legendary strength or speed of the Slayer. We have only the knowledge, training, and artifacts that have been passed down over the course of centuries.”

Giles added, “Also, where as you take on the multitude of problems that can spring up around the hellmouth, the Hunter clans deal with specific threats, a certain type of demon or individual.”

Viggo said, “In the case of the Belmont clan, we deal with Vlad Teppes Dracula.”

Buffy’s eyes went wide, “You mean THE Dracula?”

He nodded, “Yes, we believe the Count has move Castlevania to the hellmouth here in Sunnydale.”

“Castlevania?”

“Dracula managed to somehow acquire a rather large demon that he uses as his castle. It is a being that the Belmonts have destroyed many times only to see it be reborn with each of Dracula’s resurrections. He has a cult that, despite our best efforts, manages to bring him back to unlife over and over again.”

“There is also a rumor that Dracula’s son, Alucard, might be here as well.” Giles said.

"Wow." Said Buffy. "That seems like a lot of work for just hot guy. I mean one guy, just one guy. Hot guy, ha! Must have been thinking about the weather. Heh heh."

She blushes as Willow hides her face and Giles rolls his eyes.
