Britney drives through a red light...

Britney remained unaware of the red spot on her forehead. The sight caused you to chuckle a few times, and that caused Britney to furrow her brow in annoyance.

"What's so funny?" she finally asked, glancing your way.

You looked at her and grinned, shrugging your shoulders.

"Nothing," you answered simply. "I was just thinking of a joke I heard in the hospital."

Britney sighed, probably wondering why she invited her dorky brother along for a ride. She glanced at the car stereo, pressed a button and music blasted from the car's speakers.

"There should be a bunch of CDs in the glove box, John," she said, indicating her car's glove box with a finger. You opened the glove box and found a collection of CDs. The thought crossed your mind that you could listen to public radio. None of Britney's music interested you.

Britney suddenly reached over, turned down the volume and put on the radio. "Tell me if you hear anything you like, Shrimp," she said, going through the channels.

You would have to get used to your unintentional use of your new-found power.

"I want to listen to some country," you said, not particularly caring. Britney made a face, which you half-expected as Britney hated country music. You just wanted to test your power some more; you tried to make Britney like country music. Britney's eyes glazed over, which to your surprise caused her to drive through a red light. You swear in disbelief as cars almost barrel into the side of Britney's pink Volkswagen, your face struck with terror.

Britney came out of her daze, seemingly unaware of the disaster that almost happened at the intersection, turned up the stereo's volume, and hummed to the tune of a country song.

"Fuck!" you wheezed in relief.

Britney glanced at you, confused. "What's wrong, John?" She looked mildly concerned.

"Um, nothing!" you answered. Britney frowned at your explanation, you were acting weirder than normal. You realised she had absolutely no idea.

You would have to be more careful from now on, you decided.
