"Well, as luck would have it, I know of a job tonight up in the Hills that would cover my fee and, if you're good, leave you with some left over for your other expenses," Lionel told her with a satisfied grin. "Don't worry about that, they'll take care of it," Lionel assured her as he got on the telephone. "Just wait outside and a car will come pick you up. They'll take you there, just relax and do as you're told, and they'll send me the money. Come by tomorrow and I'll have your share."

"Gee, thanks, Mr. Goldsteen!" Bria chirped happily on her way out the door. "Wish me luck!"

"As much as you deserve, Miss Jeurgen," he hissed through a grin as she disappeared.
