Breakfast and workout

The next day I get up comparatively late. I get ready, get dressed and go downstairs to the living room.

Once there, I see Ikumi and Ram talking. When Ram spots me, she addresses me directly. "Good morning. You're up pretty late today, we've already eaten, I hope that's okay?"

"Yes of course, you can have breakfast as you like as long as you leave some for me" I reply laughing.

"There is some egg left, it should be warm too" Ikumi says.

I thank her and say goodbye for now. I walk into the kitchen and see Hermione nibbling on some toast with her hair still unkempt.

"Good morning" I say to her and go to get a plate. "Morning" she mumbles and continues to nibble on her toast.

I fill my plate and sit down at the table. "Didn't sleep that well?" I ask Hermione as I put some egg on my bread.

"How did you guess?" she asks snappishly. "I finished reading the first book yesterday. It was pretty good, though of course I know what all happens."

I laugh shortly. "I guess that's true. If you want to get some more sleep, go ahead and lie down again."

"All good, I still have to change and finish cleaning the library. Where should I put the dirty clothes?"

"Oh, I don't even know. We have a washing machine in the basement, I guess I'll have to show Ram how to use it" I ponder.

"All good, have everyone put their dirty clothes outside my room and I'll wash them. I guess the machines will still be similar to what they were in the 90's right?"

"Yeah, about that," I return. Then Hermione gets up and goes up to her room, I hear her telling the other two to put her dirty clothes outside her room.

I eat some more and just as I finish eating Ram comes into the kitchen.

"These clothes are very different from the ones I know. I told Hermione I'd wash my own uniform, I hope that's okay?" she asks, a little worried.

"Of course, if you'd rather, you're welcome to do it. I promised you yesterday that I would show you the gym equipment, you can still clean this afternoon." I stand up and put my plate away. "Come on let's go upstairs."

We walk together up the stairs to the gym.

Once there, I first take Ram around and show her all the equipment I have and what can be done with it.

After about 15 minutes I ask her "what do you want to start with?"

"I think the treadmill would be good to start with" she says and we go to the treadmill.

She gets on the belt and I turn it on first. "Uhh" she moans sweetly as the treadmill starts moving.

"You can use this button here to make the belt go faster. Don't get ahead of yourself to start though, it can get pretty fast."

"I'm not" Ram returns, speeding up the belt a bit as I get on the belt next to her.

A short time later I hear the whir of the treadmill next to me and look over at Ram. Her treadmill is set quickly and I look a bit perplexed until I remember that yes, she is an Oni.

Note to self, running from Ram does no good, I think to myself and start to sweat.

When we are done, we go to the weights. Again, I look amazed as Ram easily lifts the 150kg and barely starts to sweat.

When we leave the gym 2 to 3 hours later, I am drenched in sweat, but Ram is only sweating a little.

"That was a pleasant workout" she says and takes a towel. The towel I wash off with is by now completely sweaty. "Y-yes that was... it" I say breathing heavily.

"You're not that trained are you?" she asks me in wonder. "It's fine, you're just significantly more trained thanks to your Oni genes."

"Hm can be" she says cheerfully and dries herself. "I'm going to take a shower first, if you want you're welcome to go and put on something else. Then you go on with your chores yes?"

"Gladly," Ram replies happily and disappears. She is a brute.

I go up to my room and take a shower.
