You smirk to yourself, as you realise you might be able to turn this situation to your advantage. You're closer to the TV than he is, and he'll also have to look round you in order to see at all. With some tactical movement, you could effectively blind him right when you most needed it.
He hands you your controller, and you get back into the game.
