You turn toward the door and see a blonde who you recognize as the Black Canary. Instead of her usual costume, she's wearing a black sweat jacket and wind pants. "You're the new guy, right? Shadow? I don't think we've met yet. I'm Dinah, aka the Black Canary." She shakes your hand in greeting. "I hope I'm not interrupting."
"Not at all. I'm just killing some time, working on a few things."
"Well, if you'd like to hit something that will hit back, I wouldn't mind going a few rounds."
"Yeah sure, that'd be great." You know Canary has a reputation as of the most skilled fighters in the League. There's likely a thing or two you can learn from her, even if it means getting your ass kicked in the process. She tosses her bag on a chair and removes her jacket, revealing a black sports bra underneath. With her back to you, she then bends down and slides off her pants, giving you the perfect view of her heart-shaped ass in a very tight pair of black shorts. _Don't stare Don't stare Don't stare _You manage to pull your eyes away just before she turns back around.
"Ok Let's go." You trade some punches and kicks back and forth, gradually upping the intensity. Along the way she gives you a few tips to improve your power and to not telegraph your moves. Both of you are dripping with sweat and eventually it's time for a break. "Not bad. How long have you been studying to learn all these different techniques?"
"A few months." She looks at you in disbelief. "I...don't really sleep, so I have a lot of time to practice."
"Well that's still impressive. You must have had some good teachers to learn that much that quickly."
"Nah, I mostly just watched Jackie Chan movies and YouTube clips and learned from those." Now she's giving you an absolutely dumbfounded look. "I'm kidding. Actually I studied under the greatest teachers of our time: Master Splinter, Mister Miyagi,"
"Ok Ok I get it, smartass," she says chuckling. "If you don't want to give away your training secrets you don't have to." She drains the rest of her water bottle and tosses it aside. "Now if you're ready, we can move on to grappling. Or do you need to get going?"
