The Bioshock Franchise is a series that involves a man, a lighthouse, and a city. As far as themes go this is all that is needed.

The original Bioshock took place in the underwater city of Rapture. Where objectivists created an underwater dystopia where genetic modification was rampant.

Bioshock Infinite took place in the flying city of Columbia. Where religious extremists followed a prophet who could make prophecy through parallel universe tears.
