Between Us

"Tifa!" Cloud called out now that they were outside of the store. In one had he was holding one of their bags of items, and in the other, Tifa's underwear. "What am I supposed to do with this?" He looked flustered to the point of panicking. Tifa had to suppress a giggle. While is his "too cool for you" attitude could be somewhat dashing at times, she loved that she was able to crack through it to the awkward and shy boy from Nibelheim.

"Just..." Tifa thought about it for a moment. She wanted to put them in a bag, but they were handing them off to Wedge soon, so they would have to do something about them eventually anyway. "Just throw them behind those crates, I'll figure it out later." Cloud did as he was instructed, and Tifa's heart nearly burst in her chest as she watch. Here she was, after having stripped for a discount, watching Cloud toss away her underwear!

The pair began their trek to the neighborhood watch, where Wedge spent most of his time during the day. Tifa's lighter attire hadn't gone unnoticed. Just like the night she spent serving drinks in the nude, she could feel the eyes on her again. Feel them watching her breasts bounce inside of her tank top as she walked. Feel them watching as her skirt fluttered, showing more skin than usual underneath.

It was too much for her. About a block for the Neighborhood Watch, Tifa grabbed Clouds arm and pulled him into an alley.

"Cloud," Tifa breathed, her hands trembling on his arm. "Be honesty with me. What did you think about what just happened?"

"I...uh..." Cloud's eyes were searching, as if looking for an escape.

"I'll never forgive you if you lie to me right now." She meant to sound stern, but it came out as ****.

"That was..." Cloud looked down at her, hesitantly. He cheeks were flushed. "That was very sexy." He nervously rubbed the back of his head. Tifa collapsed into him in relief. She felt his body stiffen at the sudden contact. All this time, she had feared that he hated her now. Thought her a common floozy that would get naked for anyone on a whim. And part of her still though that he might think that. But at least he though she was sexy while she did it.

"Thank you." She took a step back and looked her childhood friend. He looked beyond flustered, totally at a loss as to what to do in this situation. "Do me a favor a keep this between us, okay?" Cloud just swallowed hard and nodded.
