Begin Part 2

It’s the dawn of a new era! …Well, a new day, anyway. The first thing you do when you wake up is call Professor Stump and let her know of your success. She congratulates you, but tries to convince you to come back to Rifure Town. You won’t rest at just one badge though. You won’t rest until you command the respect deserved to a Pokemon Master! Having beaten the Cerulean Gym, your next destination is clear: Saffron City.

You head downstairs, ready to thank Nurse Joy for her help before departing, but strangely, she isn’t at her desk. This place is pretty big… you’d probably get lost looking for her. A lot of areas are restricted to guests anyway, so you settle for leaving her a note before picking up your pokemon and heading out. It’s a shame, but maybe you’ll cross her somewhere else on your travels and you can thank her properly. That seems kind of unlikely, though.

Saffron City lies to the south past some rolling hills, and if your experience so far has taught you anything, there are sure to be some trainers to battle along the way. Trainers seem to hang out on the paths between cities and challenge anyone who passes by, which seems like strange behavior until you take into consideration the fact that all of them want to defeat and fuck you. Then, their habit of fighting you in the places furthest from a Pokemon Center, where you could heal your pokemon after a battle, makes a lot more sense. How barbaric.

You’re on the path for less than five minutes before you spot a plateau off to the side of the path, and on it you can see a boy and girl around your age engaged in what can only be described as debauchery.

The girl has very pale skin, much like your own, but her medium-length hair is a dark shade of reddish orange, however messy it may be at the moment. Wait a minute, is that…?
