Barton Manqusco

Hoping a cab I make Baron's building a little after 12:15. Five minutes later the elevator opens onto a open office complex that's the home of Amstead Life. No one seems to be about as I walk over to the welcoming desk, looking around, I can see six door branching off the corridor blocked by the desk.

Of the six doors all but one is closed, calling out 'hello', I hear the sound of paper hitting the floor. Suddenly a blonde haired young lady with dynamite curves comes rushing out of the open office door, Doing up the top two buttons on her blouse "Welcome to Amstead Life how can I be of assistance today?"

With a greater look of her, that was a loaded question, but I keep things to business "Is it possible to speak with Barton Manqusco please?" She bites her lower lip before replying "one moment" Picking up a phone she pushes a button and turns her back looking towards the door she just came out of. My mind comprehends immediately she and Barton were engaged in some office affair, wonder if Hillary is aware of it. Well mine is not to worry about something like that. Turning back to face me "And who may I say is seeking Mr. Manqusco?"

"Agent John Doe,F.A.I.!" Taking my badge out and flipping it so the blonde could read it. She turns back around and I hear ' it's the fed plastic man!!' . a few seconds of silence before she turns back to me

"Mr. Manqusco will see you Agent Doe in his office!" She release a concealed entrance in the front counter and motions me inside. Past the desk I'm met by the man in question, Barton Manqusco, all five foot six of the roly poly greased back hair insurance agent.

"Well Agent Doe I was told that someone from your organization was coming to see me this week!" taking my hand in both of his, pumping it up and down for a full minute. "Come in, come in, I can give you a few minutes before I have to return to the grind of duty! I wonder how many time he gave the blonde a grind for duty sake! "Holly can you see that we're not disturbed?" she nods her head as she takes her seat behind the desk.

Manqusco takes me into his office, closing the door ,waving me to a chair across from his desk. "that Holly, a fine addition to the offices, really hard working!" he making small talk "Gives it her all she does! (I'll bet, the image of Holly bent over the desk running through my mind!)

"So Agent Doe I know why your here!" he stops before going behind the desk "Do I show you now or just talk about it!" His hands on his zipper. I motion him to stop "Then talk it is!" For the next twenty minutes he answers my questions before looking up and telling me we would have to continue our talk at his home. He sees me out of his office into the helpful sight of Holly.

"We weren't doing any thing wrong in his office?" Holly tries to reassure me.

"Doesn't matter to me Miss, I'm not the one he's married to!" She sees me out a frown on her face!
